This rule is strictly enforced due to guest safety concerns, insurance restrictions, and the prevention of vessel damage for which the charterer and captain would be held responsible. - Smoking Policy: Our captains strongly discourage smoking on the boat due to fire and safety concerns. Smoke and ash can cause thousands of dollars in damage to leather seating, carpets, and non-slip floors, for which the charterer will be liable. Captain & Crew Requirements This yacht requires both a Captain and a Deckhand. Upon booking, we will provide a list of approved captains who are familiar with the vessel and cleared by our insurance. If providing your own Captain, they must: Hold a 100-ton Merchant Marine Captain’s License. Be enrolled in an active maritime drug-testing program. Provide their own qualified Deckhand with USCG credentials. Be approved by the Vessel Owner and pass a paid Sea Trial/Vetting. Provide full liability and hull coverage for the vessel if not on our approved insurance list. Note: The Captain and crew are agents and employees of the Charterer. While the Charterer provides the general course of the voyage, the Captain is responsible for the safe navigation of the Vessel.
