Tips should be earned, not necessarily expected, and reflect the level of service you have been given as the angler. As a general rule of thumb you can follow the same guidelines as restaurant tipping. • Private water rod fees - sometimes we will fish water that has limited access and we have to pay to play. You will be given advance notice of this and we will discuss the fee before venturing out. Rod fees range from $50 to $150 per person per day depending on the water we fish. • Waders - we try to carry a spare pair to loan for the day, but waders are size specific so bringing your own or spending the few bucks to rent a pair from a local flyshop is often the best choice. It's easier to stay dry than get dry! What You Can Expect: Day Trips A single day, individual or group fishing experience is a great way to sample Big Sky Country. We'll help you figure out all the logistical details and arrange the best local guide(s) for you to fish with. We'll also provide all the gear you'll need to get started, plus lunch and drinks. Half-day Trips Only have time for a quick fishing outing? No problem, we do these all the time. We can make the most of your schedule and get you on the water quickly to optimize your fishing time while providing all the gear you'll need, plus drinks and a snack. Multi-day Trips Got more time on your hands? Great, let us help you plan a multi-day fishing experience - this is what the majority of our traveling anglers do. We like a minimum of 3 days when we travel to fish, but four or five is better, which allows for weather and river conditions beyond our control to give you a wider window to find great fishing. Custom Package Trips One of Montana Fishing Outfitters' strongest attributes is our sense of adventure. We love to explore, discover new places and then share what we find with our angling clients. Over the last couple decades bumming around the west in search of trout we've found not only some awesome fishing spots but also great places to eat, sleep and play. Our custom package trips are built on these discoveries and we can easily arrange for you to be well fed, sheltered and entertained along with a great guided fly fishing trip. We will custom tailor your trip to the specific needs and abilities of your group. Are you looking for a beginner's fly fishing trip with casting instruction, gear provided and all the details handled? We do that. Want to try and match wits with the most challenging spring creek and tailwater trout in Montana? We do that too. We can arrange an itinerary to perfectly match whatever your desired trip happens to be, and that's what makes MFO Montana's Most Unique Guide Service. If you have any questions, we can answer those through GetMyBoat’s messaging platform before you pay. Just hit, “Request to Book” and send us an inquiry for a custom offer.
