1. Check-In, Late Arrivals & No-Show Policy - Mandatory 30-Minute Early Arrival: All renters and designated operators must arrive at the dock 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. This window is required to complete check-in, verify IDs/boater credentials, conduct the safety briefing, and perform the pre-trip vessel walkthrough. - Late Arrivals & Lost Rental Time: Your rental window starts strictly at the scheduled booking time, not when you arrive. Because our thorough orientation and walkthrough take a full 30 minutes, arriving 30 minutes past your booking time puts your departure 1 hour behind schedule. This causes serious dock bottlenecks and delays for scheduled maintenance and other charters. Lost rental time will not be extended or refunded under any circumstances. - No-Show Threshold & $50 Fee: Arriving more than 30 minutes past your scheduled reservation time without prior direct communication, or failing to appear for your charter, is classified as a No-Show. A $50 late/no-show fee will be assessed, the booking will be canceled immediately, and all reservation fees are forfeited to cover dockage and staff scheduling. 2. Vessel Capacity & Passenger Limits (Strict 10-Person Maximum) - Maximum Passenger Headcount: The vessel has a strict legal maximum capacity limit of up to 10 people total (including adults, children, and infants, regardless of age or size). - Zero Unauthorized Pickups: Exceeding 10 passengers at the dock or picking up additional guests along sandbars, public docks, or seawalls is a direct violation of maritime law and our commercial charter insurance. Any attempt to board more than 10 people will result in immediate termination of the charter with zero refund, and potential forfeiture of the security deposit. - Life Jackets & Minors: USCG-approved life vests for up to 10 passengers are supplied onboard. Under Florida law, all children aged 6 and under must wear an approved, properly fitted life jacket at all times while the vessel is underway. 3. Weather & Cancellation Policy - General Cancellations: Cancellations submitted more than 24 hours prior to departure are eligible for a full refund or free date reschedule. Cancellations within 24 hours of departure are strictly non-refundable. - Weather Policy (40% Rain Threshold): South Florida weather changes quickly. Weather cancellations requested by the renter within 24 hours of departure will only be approved if verified, localized marine radar and meteorological forecasts indicate a 40% or greater chance of sustained rain/thunderstorms, active Small Craft Advisories, or named storm warnings during your scheduled charter window. - Clear Conditions: If local weather is clear or safe for navigation at departure time, weather cancellation requests will be denied and payments remain non-refundable. The owner/operator retains final discretion regarding safe navigational conditions; if the owner cancels the charter due to hazardous weather, a 100% refund or free reschedule credit will be issued. 4. Operator Requirements & Florida Boating Laws - Age & Identification: The designated primary operator must be at least 25 years old and present a valid government-issued photo ID at check-in. - Florida Boater Education Card: In compliance with Florida law, anyone born on or after January 1, 1988, who will operate the vessel must provide proof of a valid Florida Boating Safety Education ID Card (or an approved NASBLA-equivalent out-of-state boater safety card / temporary certificate) prior to taking the helm. - Zero Tolerance for Impairment: Operating a vessel while under the influence of drugs or alcohol is illegal under federal and state law. If the designated operator is deemed impaired at dockside or during the charter, the rental will be terminated on the spot with zero refund. 5. Onboard Rules & Prohibited Items - No Spray Sunscreen: Aerosol/spray sunscreen is strictly banned onboard. Airborne mist permanently stains, discolors, and chemically degrades marine upholstery and non-skid deck finishes. Lotion sunscreen only. - Deck Footwear: Bare feet or non-marking boat shoes only. Hard-soled boots, street sneakers with dark soles, and high heels are not allowed onboard. - Staining Foods & Glass: Red wine, staining dark juices, and loose glass beverage bottles are prohibited on the boat. - No Grills or Open Flames: Hookahs, portable stoves, grills, and open flames of any kind are prohibited. - Sound System & Wake Etiquette: Enjoy the sound system responsibly. Operators must comply with local municipal noise ordinances and strictly observe all Idle Speed / No Wake zones throughout local canals and the Intracoastal Waterway. 6. Fuel, Damage & Return State - Fuel Policy: The boat departs the dock with a full fuel tank. Fuel used during your outing will be calculated upon return and charged based on actual gallons consumed. - Cleaning Fee: The boat must be returned in the same clean, orderly condition as delivered. Excessive trash, dropped food, staining drink spills, or mud will incur a $150 minimum professional detailing fee. - Lower Unit, Propeller & Hull Liability: The renter assumes full financial responsibility for any hull groundings, sandbar impacts, or propeller/skeg strikes. A pre-departure inspection of the lower unit and hull is performed jointly with staff before casting off and upon return.
