You need to bring, The Weather forecast, a charged up cellphone (Vodafone 2degrees coverage tested). Camera, Drinking water, Food, Towel, Fishing gear, include a knife, and Bait. Sun Tan Lotion, Insect repellent (you never know) A wind breaker type jacket in case it rains . A Hat. Safety Plan. Cellphone 'Then our emergency smartphone, 'Then Marine Radio. Our Emergency Smartphone has 'Online weather tides Maps, Text, EMail, Voice, Skype and GPS tracker. VHF Radio' for help. Never use a PLB unless its a near-death situation, Jumbo Jets flying overhead will slow down and start circling' . Its a very serious device. Wrongful use can command a $10,000 plus Fine penalty for mis-use because 'Search and Rescue' planes and helicopters will respond. I register the PLB to you when you receive it. The boat has its own dedicated smartphone with Skype, Normal Voice, Texts, Google' Weather' and Tides'.

You must have a current NZ Drivers License for us to Photo. You can not keep the boat overnight, we retrieve it because is is not set for night work at all, a safety thing'. We regret that we only speak English and for safety compliance, you must be at least 21 years old and speak English sorry. Boat does not have a motor and must stay 300 meters of where it was launched. Under Law, and for your own safety, You must pass a short verbal 'safety - proficiency' tick-box style 'Test' before we can let you borrow the boat. We are required to record the names of the proverbial 'Skipper and Deckmate' using the boat, You are not allowed to let other people use the boat or carry others under any circumstances. You will be liable for any damage such as broken Oars, ($140 each) Loss of entire Anchor and Rope ($140) or dints and scratches or holes which degrade the full value of the Hull, up to $3000NZ - full loss, by third party valuation at the Mangonui boatshop for your insurance.
