The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular scuba course, and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle. Your PADI certification is accept worldwide and never expires!

With your PADI Open Water Diver certification you will be able to Dive independently (with a certified diving buddy) while applying the knowledge and skills that you learned in this course. You will also be allowed to procure air fills, rent or buy scuba equipment and any other service for scuba diving at any worldwide PADI dive center.

PADI Open Water Training Dives

The Open Water Training Dives are four dives at a local quarry located in Kankakee, Illinois or at a small lake in South Beloit, Illinois. Before you are allowed to do the 4 open water training dives we will need your student referral from the dive shop that you did your classroom and pool work with. If you did the classroom and pool work with us, no need to worry we have your student referral information.

These 4 dives are needed to complete your PADI open water certification and will be held on various weekends throughout the year. You will meet us at the dive location at 8am Saturday and Sunday and you will be finished by 12pm both days.

Once you complete your 4 open water dives you will be a certified open water diver. We will give you a temporary card if you are leaving for vacation, while your real card will take 1-2 weeks to arrive. The course fee covers your tuition to the 4 open water training dives. All your scuba gear (BCD, regulator w/ gauges, tanks, wetsuit and weights) is also included. You will need your own mask,fins and snorkel. There is a PADI student cert fee off $25 fee which is not included in the course tuition fee. Also not included is entry to the quarry which is $20/day for each diver.

There is a 7 day cancellation/change of class date policy. If you cancel and/or want to change dates it must be before 7 days from your original class date.

If you are a No Show/don't show up to your scheduled class then there is a $50 rescheduling fee.

If you cancel or try to move classes before a 7 day notice from your original class date then there will be a $50 rescheduling fee. We do this because when you sign up for a date we hold a space and reserve an instructor for you.

We need at least a 7 day notice to make changes within our instructional staff and rental equipment on-hand. All rescheduling fee's are not covered in course fees or tuition.
