Our company has been offering exciting white water rafting in the Smoky Mountains for several years now. It is a fun-filled activity for people of all ages and you can choose between two courses. Our lower river trip is leisurely and takes guests through class I and II rapids. The minimum age requirement for the lower river trip is three years old. The upper river trip, on the other hand, is more challenging and takes guests through class III and IV rapids. You will enjoy spectacular scenery and a great experience white water rafting in Gatlinburg, regardless which level you choose. No experience is necessary, and professional guides steer each raft. Discovering the wonders of rafting in the Upper and Lower portions of the Pigeon River will make your trip truly memorable. ✔ UPPER PIGEON RIVER Known as the spot for exhilarating whitewater rafting adventures, the Pigeon River treats you to incredible scenery as it gushes through the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Cherokee National Forest, Martha Sundquist State Forest, and the Appalachian Trail. Unlike the Lower Pigeon River that is ideal for more relaxed boat trips, the Upper Pigeon River offers a more challenging Pigeon Forge rafting experience. It is home to Class III-IV whitewater rapids with small to medium waves, and drops that offer exciting obstacles during your whitewater rafting adventure. Though experience is not necessary, padding and good maneuvering skills can help you pass each obstacle successfully. The Upper Pigeon River trip runs about 6½ miles. It is a fun filled exhilarating 2 hour tour with scenery of the Great Smoky Mountains and Cherokee National Forest. You will have an experienced white water rafting Pigeon Forge, TN guide traveling with you through over 60 continuous class I through IV rapids. ✔ LOWER PIGEON RIVER The Lower Pigeon River trip runs about 5 miles through the beautiful Smoky Mountains and Cherokee National Forest. It is a leisurely trip with class I and II rapids. It is better suited for people who are not quite ready for the bigger rapids. You may enjoy some splashing and swimming to cool off.
