Our Stand Up Paddle Yoga classes are traditional Yoga classes taught on the water on floating boards. Your mat is a stand up paddleboard; the ocean is your studio and all the elements have been invited – sun, wind, water. Our SUP yoga + fitness is the first venture to combine stand up paddle boarding and fitness on the beautiful island of St. John. We take the concept of stand-up paddling and incorporate a wide range of fitness, including all levels of yoga, low-impact core strengthening, intervals, and race techniques. Our students will enjoy learning while adapting to the motion of the board, the continuous challenge to balance, and the focus required to ground while afloat. Our classes have a strong focus on increasing core strength, and flexibility. Standing up on a paddleboard gives you a unique perspective of both the water and the horizon. We will focus on using the prana breath for taking in the beauty of St John's natural surroundings. Check out our classes! - All sessions are 90 minutes, include 15-minute intro to paddle boarding on shore, a 15-minute warm up paddle and a 60-minute class.
