Bronco is a 26 foot classic launch, built for quiet time on the water rather than a crowd. She carries up to six guests and leaves from Marina Cortez on Harbor Island, a few minutes from the airport and downtown. Every trip runs with a USCG licensed captain. Most are run by owner Grant Guthrie, a 100 ton Master with a sailing endorsement who has spent years on the water from Puget Sound to Mazatlan. The boat is private for your group. No strangers, no shared tickets. We do three kinds of trips. Private Bay Tours See San Diego from the water at an easy pace. You choose the route, and we can take in any of these: • The Star of India, the oldest active sailing ship in the world. • The USS Midway aircraft carrier. • The Coronado Bridge, from underneath. • The Rady Shell on the Embarcadero. • The Coronado bay side and the downtown skyline. Sea lions and the occasional dolphin come at no extra charge. Romantic And Sunset Cruises An evening on the bay for two, or a small group of up to six. Bring a bottle of wine and something to eat, and watch the light go down over Point Loma with the skyline in front of you. Planning a proposal? Tell us when you book. We will pick the spot and the timing, keep it quiet, and stay out of the way until it is time to pop the cork. Memorials And Burials At Sea This is the work we care about most. Saying goodbye on the water is calm, private and personal, and it should feel that way from start to finish. We go out in the morning, when the water is usually at its stillest. Bring the people who matter, music if you like, and whatever words you want to say. There is no rush. When you are ready, we stop the boat and you scatter the ashes yourselves, with flowers if you choose. We can arrange petals or a floral wreath through a local Point Loma florist. California requires a Permit for Disposition for any scattering at sea. Your funeral home or crematory provides it. Bring the original on the day and we take care of the rest: we record the exact position, complete the at-sea section and file it with the county. Afterwards you receive a copy with the coordinates, so you always know where your loved one rests. If you are planning a memorial and are not sure where to start, message us. We will walk you through it. Good To Know • Up to six guests, including children. • Bring your own drinks and food. Beer and wine are welcome. • Bronco is not a party boat. Trips are relaxed and respectful. • Dress in layers. It is always cooler on the water than on land, especially after sunset. • Wear soft soled shoes. • Parking at Marina Cortez. We meet you at the dock. • If the weather makes it unsafe to go out, we reschedule. Your captain will message you before the trip with the meeting point and anything else you need.
