Boat Rental Terms, Cancellation & Weather Policy We want every guest to enjoy a safe, fun, and memorable day exploring Southwest Florida's beautiful waterways. Please review the following rental terms before booking. Rental Requirements & Conditions - Maximum capacity is 8 people, including the captain, subject to the vessel's capacity plate. - Renters must have a valid government-issued ID, meet Florida boating requirements, and demonstrate adequate boating experience. - Only approved operators may operate the vessel. - Full-day rentals are generally 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM unless otherwise arranged. - Fuel is the renter's responsibility unless otherwise specified. - A refundable $250 fuel and propeller security deposit may apply, subject to booking platform rules. - Renters are responsible for damage caused by negligence, misuse, grounding, or improper operation, subject to the rental agreement and applicable insurance. - No operating under the influence, unauthorized nighttime boating, beaching, or navigating restricted or dangerously shallow waters. - All boating laws and safety requirements must be followed, including required life jacket use. - Any accident, damage, or mechanical issue must be reported immediately. - Additional rental insurance may be available through Buoy. rent or the booking platform. Cancellation Policy - 7 or more days before departure: Full refund. - 3–6 days before departure: 50% refund. - Less than 72 hours before departure: Nonrefundable. - No-shows: Nonrefundable. - Owner cancellations: Full refund if the vessel becomes unavailable due to mechanical issues or safety concerns. - Rescheduling: Date changes may be accommodated based on availability. Weather & Named Storm Policy Your safety is our priority. Southwest Florida weather can change quickly, and all rentals are subject to safe boating conditions. - Normal Florida Weather: Cloudy skies, passing rain showers, or typical afternoon thunderstorms do not automatically qualify for cancellation or refund. - Unsafe Conditions: Severe thunderstorms, lightning, high winds, hazardous seas, or marine warnings may result in cancellation, postponement, or rescheduling at the owner's discretion. - Named Tropical Storms & Hurricanes: If a named storm threatens Southwest Florida, we reserve the right to suspend rentals based on official forecasts, anticipated conditions, or evacuation orders. - Storm-Related Cancellations: If we cancel before departure because of unsafe weather or a named storm, guests may receive a full refund or reschedule to another available date. - Storm Preparation: Rentals may be suspended in advance to allow adequate time to secure and protect the vessel. - Resuming Operations: Rentals will resume once the vessel and local waterways are deemed safe. Additional Information The vessel owner reserves the right to refuse or terminate a rental due to unsafe operation, failure to follow rental requirements, or hazardous conditions. All cancellations, deposits, refunds, and insurance arrangements are subject to the applicable Getmyboat policies, which take precedence in the event of a conflict.
