This isn't your typical sailboat outing. This unique boat offers a hip esthetic you will not find anywhere else. Funky wallpaper, cozy chill zone, great music, informative yet entertaining captain (that will do her best to give you the experience you have concocted in your imagination). This is a No-Egos-Allowed vessel. We'll set sail on the Columbia River from Hayden Island in Portland, OR. We might get past the Glenn Jackson bridge, we might just make it to the tip of the island. One thing is for sure though, you won't care because you'll be having too much fun to notice. What if it rains? Well silly goose, it is Portland. You might not own an umbrella but I'm willing to bet you have a rain jacket. Also, I have an extensive collection of foul weather gear in all sizes so you aren't getting out that easy. What if there isn't any wind? Well, then you can properly style your hair and not worry about it getting messed up! Also, we can anchor out, we can motor around, we can chill on the boat in the marina (which can be a lot more fun than it sounds). We got options. What if there is too much wind? This is actually a thing. Nobody wants their snack board blowing overboard. We'll work together to figure out a mutually beneficial alternative. So what are you waiting for?! Book Song & Dance, a Catalina 25 Cruising sailboat, for up to 4 people. Rate as low as $100 per hour (2 hour minimum). If you have any questions, we can answer those through GetMyBoat’s messaging platform before you pay. Just hit, “Send Booking Inquiry” and send an inquiry for a custom offer. Cheers, Captain Jenn PS The likelihood of me accepting an inquiry for an outing on the same day is slim to not gonna happen. Just asking that you do us both a favor and have some foresight when sending requests. Much appreciated!
Hi! I'm Captain Jenn. I initially got the sailing bug in 2010 and decided to make it my profession in 2014. I am a licensed USCG Captain (50t Master), Certified Sailing Instructor, and avid racer (the farther offshore the better). I've sailed over 10k ocean miles, including racing to Hawaii and delivering back. As much as I love open water sailing, the Columbia River is home and I know how to maximize time spent on the river. On Song Dance though, it isn't about what I know, it's about the experience you want to create. Want to sit back and relax while I pull the strings and make the sail thingies do stuff? Perfect. Or perhaps you are intrigued by the art of sailing and want to expand your understanding by doing? I gotcha.
You’ll get directions to the departure location when you make a booking.
Full refund up to 5 days prior.
- Due to the inventory of personal floatation devices, these cruises are designed for adults only. Willing to discuss family outing options on a per booking basis. - Alcoholic beverages are allowed within reasonable consumption limits. Captain reserves the right to moderate guest consumption and refuse service to anyone exhibiting unsafe behavior - Galley items (cups, plates, bowls, silverware, etc...) available upon request - Medium capacity Yeti cooler with ice available upon request - Bluetooth speaker onboard - Per hour charge begins and ends at reserved times, regardless of whether the boat has left from/returned to the dock - No refunds for lack of wind or if it rains. If I could control the weather, I would have to charge a lot more! Don't worry, there is plenty of fun to be had regardless of weather conditions! - If the forecast calls for more than 17k of wind, rescheduling is an option. This is typically about the velocity of wind in which your snacks don't want to stay on the plates and your wine doesn't want to stay in its glass. Happy to answer any additional questions. Look forward to getting you out on the water! Captain Jenn
