Depending on the season, we operate in Southern California, Ensenada, San Quintín and the Pacific Coast of Baja California as a Sportfishing Mothership Program, paired with our 31' Bertram Sportfisher running daily trips from the anchored mothership. Sportfishing Mothership Expeditions aboard Historic EL EXPLORADOR ex Dry Martini Experience sportfishing mothership expeditions aboard the historic yacht El Explorador, operated by Explorador Offshore. These multi-day charters combine the comfort and support of a classic yacht mothership with dedicated offshore fishing from our 31-foot Bertram game boat. The El Explorador serves as the mothership, providing stable accommodations and logistical support while remaining positioned near productive fishing grounds. Each day, guests transfer to the 31-foot Bertram, a purpose-built vessel equipped for serious offshore angling. This operational model maximizes productive fishing time by reducing long daily transits and allowing the team to stay on the fish longer. The mothership accommodates up to 12 guests in four cabins. Guests enjoy comfort, including meals and rest between fishing sessions, while the 31-foot Bertram delivers agile and efficient access to offshore waters. Target species include striped marlin, dorado (mahi-mahi), yellowfin tuna, wahoo, and other fish. This mothership approach offers a distinct advantage over traditional single-vessel sportfishing charters by combining supported offshore angling with the stability and amenities of a historic yacht. Professional crew and a focus on efficiency and comfort define every expedition. Whether you are planning a focused multi-day fishing trip or a broader offshore adventure, Explorador Offshore delivers a well-supported and productive experience at sea.
