What You Can Expect:

5 days aboard our Brave Hendrik

At boarding you will be welcomed by the skipper and you will meet your fellow passengers, after which the skipper will explain you the ins and outs on board.

Every morning before departure we will discuss the weather forecast together, after which we will determine our destination for that day. It is possible that the wanderings will take us along the Wadden Islands, but it is also possible that they will be several IJsselmeer towns. A combination is also not unlikely.

You sleep in single beds. A maximum of 2 passengers share a cabin. No hut is the same, the one a bit bigger, the other a bit smaller. The beds are equipped with a bottom sheet, pillow with pillowcase and a duvet with a cover.

Sailing experience is not necessary

On board you will receive sailing instructions and explanations from the skipper.

For these journeys, you must take into account €100.00 per person as a contribution to the cash register. The purchases for meals and port costs are paid from the on-board cashier.

What to Expect Onboard:

Sailing ship Brave Hendrik is a Lemsteraak, equipped and decorated as a charter ship and suitable for sailing holidays and day trips for up to 12 people.

The Lemsteraak Brave Hendrik was built in 1917 as a yacht at the shipyard of Van der Werff in Buitenverlaat near Drachten.

Via wanderings in France, England and Belgium, the Brave Hendrik returned to the Netherlands in 1980, after which the ship was restored in the course of 1985/86 to be used as a charter ship.

De Brave Hendrik is available for rental with skipper and rental without skipper.

The sailing area of the Brave Hendrik extends from Markermeer, IJsselmeer, Frisian Lakes to the Wadden Sea. Due to its shallow draft, almost all ports in this area can be reached with the Brave Hendrik.
