The Heart of the Midi Cruise

Bathed in warm sunshine for most of the year, a cruise along the Canal du Midi is the perfect vacation choice. Discover the lovely villages of Homps or le Sommail, the tasty wines of Ventenac or Paraza, go over the impressive scales of locks of Fonsérannes and immerge yourself in the historic roman town of Narbonne!

Homps

Homps is a verdant and often sunny town. Moor here and take a walk downtown to discover the flower-lined streets and the old romanesque chapel built in the 11th century.

Argens-Minervois

Argens-Minervois is a beautiful little town, typical to the Minervois region. The village is clustered around a 14th century château and overlooks the canal and the river Aude.

Roubia

Roubia is a charming little village with a beautiful parish church that is worth a visit. If you moor here, you might enjoy getting close to nature with a walk in the woods.

Paraza

Paraza is a wonderful and typical town with colorful houses along the bank. If you walk around the village, you will most likely encounter the old abandoned windmill of Cantaranne.

Ventenac

As you approach Ventenac, you will be struck by the site of the city's majestic Castle. Along the banks of the canal, you can taste wine, or even buy some. Ventenac is a picture-perfect canalside city to visit.

Le Somail

Le Somail is a beautiful hamlet where you'll appreciate the beautiful old houses covered in ivy. It's a wonderful place to relax and take it all in.

Capestang

A lovely village full of resplendent medieval architecture, built around the imposing 14th Century Collegiale Church and around the Castle, which was once the second residence of the Archbishop of Narbonne.

Colombiers

In Colombiers, visit the Saint-Sylvestre church, which is full of history. At night, the rectory's gardens are lit up and are perfect for a charming walk.

Fonserannes

Built with all the genius of Pierre-Paul Riquet in the 17th century, Fonsérannes has the greatest staircase of locks on the Canal du Midi. Here you'll ascend or descend the canal by an amazing 25 meters.

Sallèles d'Aude

Surrounded by a verdant forest, Salleles d'Aude is a charming and welcoming town where you will have the occasion to cycle or walk along the numerous paths. Enjoy the green forested landscapes in a quiet atmosphere on the outskirts, or try a meal in one of the good restaurants downtown.

Narbonne

Once the most important city of the Roman Gaulle, Narbonne hosts many vestiges of the past and keeps them like treasures. Come here and visit the basilica Saint-Paul, the wonderful cathedral Saint-Just-et-Saint-Pasteur, and many others. Downtown, the old winding streets are just charming.

As one of our biggest canal boat rentals at 47 feet, the Magnifique is second to none in luxury, comfort and space.

Magnifique Key Features

• Wood-effect flooring, wood-tone cabinets and finishes, and plush upholstery create an ambiance of understated elegance. The large picture windows through let in abundant natural light, particularly in the grand saloon.

• The saloon is well suited for larger parties, featuring a lavish U-shaped love seat and a large dining table that converts to a comfortable bed for two.

• A music system includes a radio/CD player with MP3/USB connectivity. The sundeck is wired for sound. Each boat also has a flat-screen TV/DVD player (satellite TV is available on some models. Flat-screen/DVD player is not available in Italy).

• An inside steering station has good visibility.

• Side access to the decks makes line handling easy.

• The huge kitchen/galley features black granite-effect counters, stainless-steel sink, large gas stove and oven, two spacious electric refrigerators, and plenty of cabinet space for provisions.

• Kitchen equipment and utensils were recently upgraded.

Cabins & Bathrooms

• In the rear section of the boat, you'll find two comfortable cabins with two single beds that convert to double beds. In each is an en-suite bathroom with shower, new electric-flush toilet, and sink.

• Two luxury staterooms forward have comfortable double beds. These cabins share the boat's third bathroom, which is equipped with a shower, new electric-flush toilet, and sink.

• Plentiful closets and other storage make the sleeping cabins free of clutter.

• Cabin fans in all areas are welcome in hot weather.

Sundeck & Features

• Swimmers will love the full-width swim platform in the stern. The platform also makes it easy getting on and off the boat.

• The huge sundeck features a fixed table for alfresco dining, a large umbrella for shade, and cushioned love seats for comfort.

• There's also a portable cooler to keep drinks cold. The second steering station has superior visibility.

• The onboard electrical system runs on 12-volt DC power and 220-volt shore power.

• The Magnifique is equipped with an efficient and reliable diesel engine.
