Key West Fishing Charters
About Key West
With the Florida sun almost never leaving the shores of Key West, this island city of Florida will remind you of the Caribbean islands in more than one. Being just 90 miles away from Cuba, Key West shares the same laid-back lifestyle that is the hallmark of this neighboring country. This small island – less than three miles from end to end – acts at the cruise-ship stop which you can also access from the mainland via the Overseas Highway.
What You’ll Catch
Key West is a location that offers a variety of different types of fishing. Hundreds of fish roam around the waters of this city from the unique mangroves and reefs to the relaxing waves offshore. Whether you go deep sea fishing or throw a line offshore, a day out on the Key West waters will not disappoint. Expect to catch marlin, tuna, kingfish, wahoo in the deep water.
Before You Go
It is important to keep in mind the boating and fishing regulations in the area. In order to fish anywhere in Florida, you need to obtain a Florida fishing license. Separate freshwater and saltwater licenses or combination licenses are available for purchase through the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission or some of the bait and tackle shops in select areas. We recommend that you also bring a copy and read through Florida’s fishing regulations guides. These guides are filled with information on rules, seasons, and limits while you are out angling on the water.
