   Absolutely cannot recommend Captain Nozomu highly enough! He saved our trip—and turned what could have been a huge disappointment into one of the most unforgettable experiences my son and I had in Japan. After being ghosted by another captain we had originally booked through this very site (paid in advance, no-show, no contact…), we were scrambling, heartbroken, and unsure if we’d get to fish at all in Osaka Bay. That’s when we found Captain Nozomu—and everything changed. Despite a language barrier, Captain Nozomu went out of his way to communicate clearly, kindly, and with genuine care. He welcomed us with a warm smile, top-tier professionalism, and the kind of joyful energy that instantly put my 10-year-old son at ease.    Fantastic fishing experience with Nozomu! We booked a 4 hour fishing trip with Nozomu where we targeted Sea Bass. Together my girlfriend and I caught 3 large Sea Bass and one smaller Bream. Nozomu was a fantastic and accommodating captain. He was quick to change spots if we weren't getting good bites, assisted with fishing gear, and provided good fishing tips. There was several times where we almost lost our lures to bad snags, but Nozomu was able to retrieve them each time. Nozomu was also very easy to work with when setting up our trip. Our first scheduled date was cancelled due to poor weather and Nozomu was flexible with rescheduling. I just wish my Japanese language skills were a bit stronger so I could have better exchanged fishing tips and stories with Nozomu. I would definitely recommend Nozomu to anyone looking to book fishing trip in the future.

   Captain Yoshi was very casual, friendly, and helpful. We went fishing for sea bass and caught several, as well as some black sea bream. It was a great time!

   Fishing in Osaka was something our group really wanted to do! Booking with Koji was easy! Koji was patient with our group as we were not experienced with fishing and really took his time to teach us and support us. Koji spoke Japanese but was easy to communicate with translate apps! Captain Koji was so nice and we can’t wait to come back again to visit him!

   We loved Captain Nozomu! He is very kind and funny. My wife and I were beginners and Nozomu was very patient with us. He’s a great teacher and makes sure you are having a good time. I can see he tried his hardest to make sure we both enjoyed our fishing trip. Great conversationalist, boat driver and fishing teacher.

   I recently had the pleasure of going fishing with Nozomu in Osaka, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! We set out to catch Tachiuo (タチウオ / Beltfish), and I was thrilled with how many we caught. Nozomu’s expertise in both bait and jigging made all the difference, and he guided us expertly throughout the day. Not only was Nozomu a fantastic guide, but he also took the time to ensure that we were enjoying every moment of the trip. His passion for fishing is contagious, and it made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The highlight of the day came after our successful fishing adventure. Nozomu directed us to an amazing restaurant where we had the chance to enjoy fresh sashimi made from the fish we caught. It was the perfect way to cap off an already incredible outing. I can honestly say this was one of the best fishing trips I’ve ever been on. If you're in Osaka and looking for a great fishing experience, I highly recommend booking a trip with Nozomu. You won’t be disappointed!
