The town is surrounded by black sand beaches, ideal to learn how to surf. The Surf camp has private and shared rooms, a panoramic terrace with barbecue area, fully equipped kitchen, laundry, cable TV and free internet access. Since the Surf camp is located in a rural area, there are nearby levada walks, trails for cross country or downhill biking and many other adventure activities.In the village there are several restaurants and bars where you can taste the traditional Madeiran cuisine and beverages. The beaches and all basic services are in walking distance from the Surf camp, such as post office, healthcare center, bank, taxi and supermarket.
