We are one of those lucky lodges that can make the claim of catching Walleye right off the dock. Ontario Northern Pike Fishing Lake Mattagami is a healthy lake with all the right conditions to grow big trophy Northern Pike. The pike in our lake average around 4 pounds but bigger trophies up to 25 pounds have been caught and released. Ontario Jumbo Perch Fishing In Lake Mattagami, you will catch more Walleye then Perch but there are lots of Perch mixed in. Sometimes guests come across a large school of Perch and can fill a pail. There is no limit for Perch so it's a great way to bring a mess of fish home. Ontario Small mouth Bass Fishing Most of our guests come to Lake Mattagami for the great Walleye and Pike fishing. There are Small mouth Bass in the south-end of the lake but they are by no means a dominant species. You can take a break from Walleye and Pike fishing and hunt down some bass but only expect to catch 3 or 4 in an afternoon.
