What You Can Expect:

The selection of watersport activities we provide at Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane are all run from the dive center which is located at the Southern end of the resort at the dive camp. Perfectly situated a mere 30 meters from the beach with a sunset bar looking over the beach, our dive camp is completed with self-catering kitchen, braai area, a benched dining area, small pool for beginner scuba courses, a medical room (and first aider), kitting up decks and our compressor station capable of 232Bar air refills.

Dive planning is at the dive center every evening at 5 pm. You must attend the night before you are planning to dive. Dive planning can only be completed by our dive team staff. In your dive planning meeting, you can discuss with the dive master which reef you will be exploring, launch time and who will accompany you.

Night Diving:

Night dives are available to our more advanced divers during our high/premium seasons. Night dives can also be arranged on request.

Only advanced divers with night dive specialty will be allowed to do the night dives unless accompanied by an instructor. Maximum ratio= 1 instructor:2 divers

Dive Courses:

Our PADI Resort offers PADI scuba diving courses from absolute beginner to professional levels. As if this wasn’t enough we also offer various specialty courses

We offer Open Water, Advanced Open Water and Rescue Dive courses at the resort.

All training is carried out by our experienced instructors. Our main focus during training is of course safety, but we also care about our students enjoying themselves!

Night Diving:

• The availability of night dives is dependent on the weather conditions.

PADI Dive Shop:

Don’t have space to bring your own gear?

The affordable rental costs at our dive shop mean you don’t need to bring it all with you. We offer a full range of Aqualung snorkel and diving gear so you can have confidence in our equipment.

Don’t know how often you want to dive?

You can rent your gear on a day by day basis or for the duration of your trip.

When is the best time to rent gear?

After dive planning, chat to the dive team. If you would like to rent gear they will test the gear and get it ready for you.

The charge for our gear rental is daily regardless of how many dives you do.

After every dive, you will need to bring all rental soft gear (masks, fins, wetsuits, boots etc.) back to the shop so our staff can get the gear rinsed and dried ready for your next dive, even if you are going to do a second dive that day.

All hard gear (e.g. BCDs, regulators, and cylinders) should be left on the boat for our staff who will return it to the dive shop and prepare it for your next dive. Please make sure all snorkeling equipment is returned to the shop by 17H00 (before dive planning).

Please note: Any cylinder not in date with the visual and hydro test will not be filled at the resort, and will, therefore, result in having to hire one.
