# 🚤 BOAT RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before booking. Our goal is to make sure everyone has a safe, enjoyable, and stress-free day on the water. By booking and participating in the rental, the renter agrees to the following: ## ⏰ START TIME & LATE ARRIVALS Your rental time begins at the agreed-upon start time, not when your group arrives. Please plan accordingly and arrive early enough to be ready to depart at your scheduled time. Late arrivals will not extend the rental period. If your group arrives late, the rental will still end at the originally scheduled end time, especially when another booking is scheduled afterward. We highly recommend arriving 15–20 minutes early so everyone can get settled, use the restroom, load personal belongings, review safety information, and be ready to leave on time. If you are late, we will do our best to get you on the water as quickly as possible, but the lost rental time cannot be added to the end of your reservation. ## 🌦️ WEATHER POLICY We are happy to go out in light rain and normal weather conditions. A little rain doesn't have to ruin a lake day! However, the safety of our guests and crew always comes first. If weather conditions become unsafe — including severe storms, lightning, dangerous winds, flooding conditions, or other conditions that make operating the boat unsafe — we reserve the right to delay, reschedule, or cancel the rental for safety reasons. If severe weather is expected before your scheduled rental and conditions are determined to be unsafe, we will work with you to reschedule your rental based on availability. Weather decisions are made based on safety and actual conditions, not simply because there is a chance of rain. ## 🌊 EARLY ENDING / NO REFUNDS Once your rental begins, the reserved rental time is considered used. If your group chooses to end the rental early for any reason — including fatigue, changing plans, personal reasons, weather that does not require us to end the trip, illness, or simply deciding you have had enough lake time — there will be no refund or credit for unused rental time. Please book the amount of time you genuinely want to spend on the water. If the captain determines that the rental must end early because of unsafe conditions or an emergency, that decision will be made for safety and will be handled on a case-by-case basis. ## 🍺 ALCOHOL POLICY Guests who are 21 years of age or older may consume alcohol while on board, provided it is done responsibly and legally. Alcohol is not provided as part of the rental. Guests who choose to drink must provide their own alcohol. If your group plans to drink, please remember: - Only guests 21+ may consume alcohol. - No underage drinking. - No excessive drinking or becoming intoxicated to the point of creating a safety concern. - No fighting, aggressive behavior, harassment, threatening behavior, or violence. - No operating the boat while impaired — the captain is always responsible for operating the vessel. - The captain has the authority to stop alcohol consumption or end the trip if someone's behavior becomes unsafe or disruptive. - If a guest becomes a safety risk to themselves, other guests, the crew, or the boat, the rental may be ended immediately without a refund. We want everyone to have fun — just keep it respectful and under control. ## 🚫 NO GLASS No glass containers are permitted on the boat. This includes glass bottles, cups, jars, and other glass containers. Please use cans or plastic/reusable containers instead. This rule exists for everyone's safety. Broken glass on a boat can cause serious injuries and can be extremely difficult to safely remove. ## 🛟 LIFE JACKETS & SAFETY Life jackets are available for guests of various ages and sizes. Guests are expected to follow all safety instructions given by the captain. The captain has final authority regarding safety procedures, water activities, wakeboarding, wake surfing, tubing, swimming, and any other activity involving the boat. If a captain determines that an activity or behavior is unsafe, that activity may be stopped immediately. ## 🏄 WATER ACTIVITIES Wakeboards, wake surfboards, wake skates, tubes, and floats are provided for guest use. Guests are expected to use all equipment responsibly and follow the captain's instructions. First-time riders and beginners are welcome! Our captains are happy to provide guidance and assistance. Equipment may not be used in a reckless, dangerous, or inappropriate manner. Any intentional misuse or damage to equipment or the boat may result in additional charges. ## 🐾 PET POLICY Well-behaved pets are welcome on board. Pets must be supervised by their owners at all times. For the protection of the boat upholstery, pets must wear appropriate water shoes while on board. We do not provide pet life jackets. If your pet will be swimming or spending significant time around the water, we strongly recommend bringing a properly fitted pet life jacket. Pets must be comfortable and well behaved around people, the boat, and the water. If a pet becomes aggressive, excessively disruptive, or creates a safety concern, the captain may require the pet to leave the boat or may end the rental. ## 🏖️ SHORELINE STOPS If conditions and location allow, guests may request to stop at an appropriate shoreline or beach area to relax. Shoreline stops are subject to captain approval, lake conditions, accessibility, and available time within the reserved rental period. Stopping on shore does not pause the rental clock. ## 👥 GUEST RESPONSIBILITY The person making the reservation is responsible for ensuring that all members of their group understand and follow these terms and conditions. The renter is responsible for the behavior of their guests and for any damage caused by themselves or members of their group. Please treat the boat, equipment, and property as you would your own. ## 💥 DAMAGE & MISUSE Guests may be held financially responsible for damage caused by negligence, intentional misuse, reckless behavior, failure to follow captain instructions, or improper use of the boat or equipment. This includes, but is not limited to: - Damage to upholstery - Damage caused by pets - Damage to water sports equipment - Damage caused by glass - Damage caused by excessive alcohol consumption - Lost or damaged equipment - Damage resulting from guests ignoring safety instructions Normal wear and tear is not the renter's responsibility. ## 🚫 CAPTAIN AUTHORITY Our captains are responsible for the safe operation of the vessel. The captain may refuse or stop any activity, remove an unsafe item, restrict alcohol consumption, require a guest or pet to leave the boat, or end the rental if necessary to protect the safety of the passengers, crew, vessel, or equipment. If a rental is ended because of unsafe, aggressive, violent, excessively intoxicated, or otherwise inappropriate behavior by the renter or their guests, no refund will be provided. ## ❤️ OUR GOAL We want you to have an incredible day on the water. We're a husband-and-wife team who genuinely love wake surfing, wakeboarding, boating, and spending time outdoors. We're not looking to nickel-and-dime you with additional captain fees or equipment fees. We want to provide a fun, relaxed, all-inclusive experience where you can enjoy the lake without worrying about all the little extras. Have fun. Be respectful. Listen to your captain. Take care of the boat. And enjoy your lake day!
