Important Rental Policies We're excited to have you on Lake Travis! To ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone, please review these key policies before your booking. By reserving with us, you agree to these terms. 1. Booking & Payments - What's Included: Your rental rate includes the boat, fuel, and a professional captain. A complimentary lily pad and ice box are also provided. - Security Deposit: A refundable $500 security deposit is required. This covers potential damages or excessive cleaning and is returned within 24-72 hours after your rental if no issues are found. 2. Cancellations & Rescheduling - Guest Cancellations: - - 10+ days before: Full refund. - 5-9 days before: 50% refund of the total rental price. - Less than 5 days before: No refund; full booking amount charged. - Weather Cancellations (Our Discretion): - - Your safety is our priority. We only cancel for severe weather (e.g., thunderstorms, lightning, high winds) at our captain's discretion on the day of your rental – not based on forecasts alone. - If we cancel due to severe weather, you'll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule. - If severe weather occurs during your rental, the captain may return to the dock, and a prorated refund/credit may be issued. - Note: Light rain or cloudy skies are not considered severe weather for cancellations. 3. Late Arrivals - Your rental time starts exactly as scheduled. We recommend arriving 15-30 minutes early for check-in. - We cannot extend your rental time for late arrivals, and no refunds or credits will be given for lost time. 4. Safety & Boat Rules - Captain Required: Our double-decker rentals always include a professional, licensed captain for your safety and enjoyment. Guests are not permitted to operate the boat. - Life Jackets: USCG-approved life jackets are provided for all. Children under [Age, e.g., 13] must wear one while the boat is moving. - Capacity Limit: Our double-decker holds a strict maximum of 14 passengers or 2000 lbs. No exceptions. - Alcohol: Permitted for guests of legal age. Responsible consumption is mandatory. The captain may end the rental without refund for unsafe or illegal behavior. No illegal substances. - Swimming & Slide: Swim at your own risk. The captain will designate safe swimming areas. Use the water slide only when the boat is anchored and approved by the captain. - Prohibited Items: No glass containers, red wine (stains!), glitter, confetti, or fireworks. - Respect the Lake: Please dispose of all trash properly. Do not litter. - Damage: Renters are responsible for any damages or excessive cleaning needed after your rental. Charges will be deducted from your security deposit. 5. General Information - Please note: Paradise Cove Marina charges fees upon entry. - Location: All rentals depart from and return to Paradise Cove. - Gratuity: A mandatory minimum 20% gratuity is due to your captain. - Waiver: All passengers must sign a liability waiver before boarding. - Boater Education: While your captain operates the boat, Texas law requires a Boater Education Certificate for anyone born on or after September 1, 1993, who operates a boat over 15 HP.
