Use a SUP as your unusual craft to see the Nile. You start in the morning near the foot of Owen Falls dam which holds back the might of Lake Victoria and head downstream with the first flows of the Nile. This calm water is an ideal place to get used to balancing on the board and your guide will teach you a few techniques for SUP. Stopping at Bujagali we have a quick lunch before a short car journey that takes us around the next dam. Whitewater stand up paddle boarding isn’t for everyone, but if you enjoy a challenge and don’t mind making a fool of yourself in the name of fun then it certainly may be for you. SUP in whitewater is predicable. Lots of falling off, very hard to do and completely hilarious. If you are more concerned about your appearance than having fun then stay away from white water stand up paddle boarding. PRICES - Full Day SUP trip - $115.00 per person - Half Day Whitewater SUP - $85 per person (minimum 2) - Stand Up Paddleboard freedom rentals - $15 for one hour or $20 for two If you have any questions, we can answer those through GetMyBoat’s messaging platform before you pay. Just hit, “Request to Book” and send us an inquiry for a custom offer.
We owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Sam and Emily. A business that runs among the tropical islands of the Nile River, our core goal is to introduce more people to the amazing sport of kayaking in this idyllic location. Before we became the owners here we travelled the world to kayak, whether that was to train and compete, (Emily has represented Great Britain 4 times in the Freestyle Kayaking World Championships while Sam is the British team coach) or to explore and coach on some of the most exciting rivers in the world. While solely running Kayak the Nilersquos sister company Love it Live it, we lived a nomadic life by the river and used kayaking as the excuse to explore and learn about the world. Drawn by the promise of big volume whitewater at the source of the worlds longest river, a relaxed lifestyle and the perfect eternal summerrs climate, itr unsurprising that we arrived in Uganda, and as Sam puts it l essence we just forgot to leaverd. We believe the Nile is one of the worldrs best rivers to teach on thanks to the warm water and spectacular scenery, and fabulous training features. Uganda has a firm grip on our hearts. Through Kayak the Nile we get the pleasure of showing people this amazing river for the first time and let them share the experiences that have kept us coming home to Jinja for the majority of the last 10 years.
