About This Sleep Aboard Boat

Port of Departure: Bruma is anchored in San Fernando, 30 kilometres away from the capital city. The marina is strategically located on the river Luján and provides a secure port to board corporate or touristic passengers. It has a big parking lot with security. You can find directions to get to Bruma on the how to get there section.

Our Trips: Enjoy a tailor-made tour around the delta choosing the time of departure and the length of time of your stay. We recommend day trips and night cruises to watch the city of Buenos Aires from the river. Quite an experience! Bird watching, swimming or just relaxing on the deck on this private tour around the islands.

Slow Travel: A trip to the delta is a must, not only for foreigners but for many locals who want to entertain their foreign business partners. Bruma, a typical boat once used to carry timber from the islands, was refurbished for passengers in 2000. It has 2 cabins, an indoor dining room for 8 pax, 2 toilets and a large roofed area on the stern for 12 pax with a barbecue. The boat can be booked for private outings and while the captain sails the different rivers the barbecue smokes and sizzles giving notice that it will soon be time the gets ready and it is time to anchor and taste the asado with a good Malbec.

The Delta: The history of Tigre dates back to a port on the banks of Las Conchas river, named after the sea shells debris that was abundant in the riverbed. The name Tigre tiger refers to the yaguareté or American tiger a dangerous animal that prowled the area threatening the population. The delta consists of about five thousand islands and three hundred and fifty streams and rivers. The area bloomed at the end of the XIX century with the high society and politics meeting at the Tigre Hotel and Tigre Club.
