ProfAsea is my home. She’s an ocean-going sailing yacht I’ve lived aboard and sailed since 2012 — over 25,000 nautical miles and 34 countries. During my years sailing I also spent three seasons working on superyachts in the Mediterranean as stewardess, chef, and deckhand. Right now ProfAsea is anchored in Corong Corong, El Nido, and until the end of October 2026 I’m opening her up for a small number of private overnight sailings. After that, she sails on. This season will not repeat. I genuinely love sharing this boat — and this life — with couples and solo travelers who want something completely different. Most guests have never experienced sailing quite like this. Falling asleep to the gentle rocking of the boat at anchor, waking up to the sun rising over the limestone cliffs, coffee in the cockpit with the sea all around you — these are the kinds of memories that stay with you. That’s what I love most about what I do, and it’s what ProfAsea makes possible. Once I collect you by dinghy from Corong Corong, the whole boat — and I — are entirely yours. THE BOAT ProfAsea is a Beneteau Oceanis 393 — an ocean-going sailing yacht built for open water. She is fully off-grid, solar-powered with a water maker on board, which means we can anchor in beautiful, quieter bays and spend time away from the busiest tourist spots. Your private cabin has a comfortable double bed and its own en-suite head — a proper sailing yacht bathroom with toilet and shower in one private space. Cosy, well ventilated, and completely yours. There is also a second head on board, plus a freshwater deck shower for rinsing off after a swim. I sleep separately in my own cabin. On deck: shaded cockpit seating, two hammocks, deck space for stargazing and watching the sun go down, a dinghy for getting ashore, stand-up paddleboard, snorkeling gear, towels, Wi-Fi, and full safety equipment. WHAT TO EXPECT Each overnight sailing is tailored to you — there is no fixed itinerary. We sail at a relaxed pace through the islands around El Nido, exploring the limestone karst scenery of Bacuit Bay, anchoring near quieter beaches and snorkel spots, and going ashore to eat at local restaurants and resorts when the route allows. Days are unhurried. Evenings are spent on deck watching the sunset and the stars come out. Mornings start with breakfast in the cockpit. Charters run from a 2-night minimum. We typically depart mid-morning on day one and return to Corong Corong late afternoon on the final day — exact timing confirmed at booking. WHAT’S INCLUDED · Fully private charter — 1 or 2 guests only, never shared · Me — your captain, host, and the only person on board besides you · Breakfast and simple meals on board, plus snacks throughout · Soft drinks on board · Island exploring and shore time built into every itinerary · Snorkeling gear, SUP, dinghy, two hammocks, towels, and deck shower · Flexible itinerary tailored entirely to you · Sailing basics if you’d like to learn WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED · Alcoholic drinks — please bring your own · Meals ashore — cost of food and drinks at local restaurants is at your own expense and part of the fun of exploring · Personal expenses ashore · Any extras not agreed in advance PRICING Overnight charters have a 2-night minimum. One night simply isn’t enough time to slow down and experience what this kind of sailing is really about. · Rate: $798 per night · Minimum stay: 2 nights · Maximum stay: 5 nights For longer custom charters, please send an inquiry with your dates and route ideas. This is a private liveaboard experience — not a crewed luxury charter. What you get is the whole boat to yourselves, complete privacy, and my full attention as your captain and host. PICK-UP & DROP-OFF I collect guests by dinghy from Corong Corong — a quieter stretch of coastline just minutes from El Nido town by tricycle. Your exact meeting point is confirmed after booking. WHAT TO BRING Clothing for warm days and cooler evenings on the water, swimwear, sun hat, reef-safe sunscreen, your own alcoholic drinks and favourite cold drinks, any personal snacks or treats, camera, and your own mask/snorkel/fins if you prefer. A soft or foldable bag is ideal for luggage — hard suitcases can be accommodated but space below deck is cosy, as you’d expect on a sailing yacht. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Is this really just for me — no other guests? Yes, always. I take one booking at a time. You will never share ProfAsea with strangers. Do I need sailing experience? None at all. I handle all the sailing, anchoring, and navigation. If you’d like to take the helm or learn the basics, I’m happy to show you — but it’s entirely up to you. Where will we sail? We explore the islands of Bacuit Bay around El Nido — limestone cliffs, quiet beaches, clear water, and good snorkeling. The exact route depends on weather, tides, and what you want from the trip. I plan it around you. What is the food like? Simple, fresh, and honest. Breakfast and easy meals on board, snacks throughout the day, and where the route allows we go ashore to eat at local restaurants — which is always the most interesting option and part of experiencing the place properly. Can we bring alcohol? Yes — just bring your own. The atmosphere on board is relaxed and respectful. What if the weather is bad? Safety always comes first. If conditions are unsuitable I will contact you to reschedule or discuss alternatives. I’ve been sailing my whole life and single-handing ProfAsea since 2012 — I know when to go and when to wait. How far is Corong Corong from El Nido town? About 5 minutes by tricycle. It is easy to reach and I will send you exact directions after booking. GOOD TO KNOW · 2-night minimum — this experience is designed to be savoured, not rushed · Maximum 2 guests — perfect for a solo escape or a private trip for two · Alcohol welcome on board — relaxed and respectful atmosphere always · Fully off-grid: solar-powered with a water maker on board · Weather-dependent: safety first, always — your safety is my priority above everything else · Nomadic, pop-up charter: ProfAsea moves to a new destination each season. Book while she’s here.
