Your journey on the Mekhala starts in Bangkok, where you will cruise upstream to Nontaburi province. Visit a local market and an old village famous for pottery making and traditional Thai dessert along the way.  There are 6 cabins, promising you an unparalleled sense of intimacy. Itinerary Day One:   Bangkok – Pathumthani                       13.00 hr.     Depart from the Oriental pier near the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Bangkok and cruise up north along the Chao Praya River passing various Bangkok’s riverside landmarks.  17.30 hr.     Stop at Pathumthani fresh market to explore a way of life of local people. 18.00 hr.     Continue to Wat Kai Tia 18.30 hr.     Arrive at Wat Kai Tia, a riverside Buddhist temple, for overnight stop. 19.30 hr.     Dinner and overnight onboard the Mekhala Day Two:  Pathumthani – Koh Kret – Bangkok      06.00 hr.    In the early morning, alms offering to the monks at Wat Kai Tia. 08.00 hr.   Enjoy breakfast while cruising back to Bangkok. 10.00 hr.   Arrive at Ko Kret Island.
