This maze of shelters attracts creatures that are hard to find elsewhere around Phuket. Longfin batfish have become permanent residents in the cubes and harruby wreck. Freckled frogfish, reef stonefish, snake eels, indian ocean walkman. The wrecks make a perfect location for Advanced Open water training and wreck specialty. On the sand patches away from the structures we can find small groups of spotted garden eels, kuhl’s stingray and a large school of forsters barracuda. All great for photo opportunities in the usually clear water. There are some huge giant morays that make bay 1 home. They’re very used to divers and quite often laze around in full view. Departure back to Chalong Pier • 14.45 PM - Back to Chalong Pier and transfer back to your Hotel 3 Dives : Phi Phi & Shark Point It might not sound like fun to be surrounded by 10 – 15 Black Tip Reef Sharks, but until you’ve done it, you won’t understand the thrill and the excitement that scuba diving at Phi Phi’s Palong Wall can bring. Some of the dive sites there are absolute mecca’s for Black Tips, and another one of our favourite dive sites, ‘Turtle Rock‘ is a home for hungry Hawksbills, many of them very unperturbed by divers so they make for great muses for photographers and videographers. Phi Phi also plays host to schooling Big Eye Snappers, Golden Trevally, Harlequin Shrimp and some Nudibranch life like the Stricklandi & Halgerda families. It truly is a wonderful diving experience for all levels of certified divers!On the return journey from Phi Phi to Phuket, we stop at either Shark Point or Anemone Reef, both sites are famous for Tiger Tail Seahorse and have regular. Leopard Shark appearances. Both sites also attract Whale Sharks, this season we have had many amazing experiences with these gentle giants on both pinnacles. If you are a Macro fan, Anemone Reef is an explorers paradise as the fine sand surrounding it attracts the rare and exotic, the pinnacle itself is alive with Anemones and a busy home for Tiger Tail Seahorses! There is also no chance of missing the wreck as we have a mooring line attached to it allowing divers to descend easily even in strong currents and a great way to do your safety stops. The Cruiser is 86 Meters long and some days it’s hard to see it because the swarming snapper, barracuda and other schooling fish life. Massive Mangrove Snapper and Grouper hide out in the wreckage and Nuidbranch cover the wreck. Beyond the King Cruiser we have Shark Point , 3 underwater pinnacles with a spectacular array of life and famed for Tiger Tail Sea Horses and Leopard Sharks, not to mention stingrays, bent stick pipe fish and every type of moray and scorpion fish you can think of. Still not sold, well don’t forget we also have Koh Doc Mai, a spectacular wall dive that also has two easily accessible caves, one large, one small, both with a few nice hidden secrets, remember to ask your guides. Departure back to Chalong Pier • 16.15 PM - Back to Chalong Pier an dtransfer back to your Hotel 2 dives : Similan Island The Similan Islands National Park has become well established as one of the finest dive locations in Asia, with liveaboard diving being especially popular. Many dive operators also offer Similans day trips departing from Khao Lak. Day trips are ideal for those who lack the time or money for a liveaboard cruise but still wish to experience the great diving on offer at the Similans. Note that Similan Islands daytrips are only available from end of October until end of April. All day trips depart by speedboat from Khao Lak, with transfer to a larger liveaboard diving boat which stays in the islands. Transfers are available from Phuket, taking up to 2 hours each way by minibus. On the surface it’s just rock topped with a little greenery. No beaches or anywhere to land on the island, though there is a hole that passes from one side of the island to the other. There is a sheltered bay that is sometimes used for night dives. There are 2 main dive sites at Koh Bon. The most dived is the ridge that sticks out from the western side of the island and continues underwater down to a depth of 40 meters. There is also a deep pinnacle on the north side of the island. Koh Bon is on the route of most Thailand Liveaboard trips.
