DAY 1: EMBARKATION IN LUANG PRABANG (-/-/D) In Luang Prabang we await you at the airport or pick you up at your hotel in town. In the afternoon you will embark on your Mekong Cruise vessel, a comfortable boutique-cruise ship. (Check-in is at 4:00pm). This unique boutique vessel is a German-Laotian owned river ship with stylish cabins. Settle into your accommodating cabin and unpack for a three-day cruise. In the evening you will enjoy our welcome dinner on board. A selection of Asian and European food will be provided throughout the whole cruise. After dinner we offer a guided walk along the Mekong promenade as well as to the colourful night market of the local Hmong minority in town. Overnight on board your river vessel. DAY 2: KUANG SI WATERFALL (B/L/D) In the early morning you will able to observe the traditional giving of alms in the streets of Luang Prabang. Breakfast is on board and the rest of the morning will be spent on a guided city tour with the visit of the famous Wat Xieng Thong temple. Your spectacular cruise begins with the departure from Luang Prabang from where you will cruise south through beautiful scenery. Enjoy the beautiful view and spot local fishermen onshore as you cruise leisurely along the Mekong again. Today you will visit the famous Kuang Si-waterfalls, some of the most remarkable waterfalls in Laos. After re-embarkation you will cruise north for a few hours up the Mekong River amidst beautiful landscapes past Luang Prabang. Enjoy the beautiful views and watch nature’s wonders along the shores. We stop at a sandbank for the night. This evening will be celebrated with a special BBQ-night. Overnight on board your river vessel. DAY 3: PAK OU CAVES & BACK TO LUANG PRABANG (B/-/-) In the morning you will explore the famous Pak Ou Caves, with thousands of small Buddha statues inside the caverns, before other visitors arrive from Luang Prabang. During breakfast on board you will cruise back to the UNESCO-World heritage town of Luang Prabang, where you disembark and say farewell to your Laotian crew (check-out around 11am).
