The boat is equipped with a Raymarine multi-function computer that displays a fishfinder, GPS and mapping. Connected to the unit is a Raymarine VHF marine radio with Seatalk. In case of an emergency this radio will broadcast position information to the nearest Coast Guard station. All safety gear is within easy reach and there is a private head (toilet) in the cabin. Docks are maintained in the Port Clinton area in the spring, and Vermilion, Ohio the rest of the season. Millions of fish, especially Walleye, migrate east of the Lake Erie Islands into the deep waters off Vermilion during the summer so a move makes sense. Frequently Asked Questions What happens if you don't show up for your charter? Nothing. I won't be happy of course, but you forfeit your deposit and other monies you paid. Can you help with lodging? I am more than happy to help customers find suitable lodging near the dock. Just ask. When a charter is booked I send out information that includes the names and phone numbers of places to stay. If we limit before the day is up what happens? Most of the time customers are happy to go in, get their fish cleaned and head home. Fish cleaning often takes more than an hour. But others may want to keep fishing on a catch-and-release basis. Fishing for a second species, though, increases the charter fee to the combo rate as we must use different lures and bait and travel to another area.
