Biscayne Bay sight fishing One of the best places in the world to sight fish for trophy inshore saltwater species like Bonefish, Permit, Tarpon, Redfish, Snook, Sharks, Barracuda, Jacks and many other species on light tackle and flies. You will fish from our 18’ technical flats boat most of the day until those precious moments after and before low tide when we are wading casting to tailing fish. Biscayne Bay is the kingdom of trophy sight fishing for bonefish, permit and tarpon, the silver king. Barracuda are ever present in those rare moments when sight fishing becomes difficult. Islamorada’s unique location, lying between Florida Bay (the backcountry) and the Atlantic Ocean (the front side), provides an unrivaled diversity of fishing opportunities. I consider Islamorada the tarpon fishing Mecca. From late March to June the migration of giant Tarpon passes through Islamorada with Swiss clock precision and there’s no better fishing in the world than sight fishing for giant tarpon in crystal clear water no deeper than 6 feet. Tarpon of all sizes can alse be found in the backcountry year round. Islamorada Rates: - Full day: 8 hrs $ 600 - Night fishing: 4 hrs $ 550 Everglades We offer several Everglades trips, including 3 day camping trips! We will start our float trip in Flamingo and search for the best spots to fish for snook, tarpon, redfish and other species. We provide tents, cots, therma rest mats, pillows, all meals including wine, beer and some spirits, all fishing tackle (fly or spin), one guide per flats boat and camp aid on his own boat. We will use the Chickees provided by Everglades National Park or the designated beach camps depending on weather and fishing conditions and species targeted. Chickees are solid structures strategically located in different sectors of the park and have solid floors, roof and chemical toilet for our use. Everglades National Park fishing camps are safe and constantly maintained and patrolled by the Park Rangers. Everglades Rates: - Full day 8 hrs: $ 600 - 3rd angler add $ 100 - 3 day/2 night Camp trip $ 4,500 (1 or 2 anglers per skiff, all inclusive) Peacock Bass Originally from the Amazon basin in south America, peacock bass were introduced to South Florida in 1984 to control the growing population of exotic species. Butterfly peacock bass (Pavon in Spanish and Tucunare in Portuguese) are not really a bass, but a cichlid. Peacock bass provide a very intense fight with several jumps and mad dog attitude. While fishing for Peacocks you may also catch other species like Alligator gar, snook, baby tarpon, Midas cichlid and other native and exotic species. A lot of the fishing is done by foot on some locations in the Miami periphery or on the Miami canals by flats boat. I will provide all the tackle needed.
