Captained by Renter – Rental Terms: The renter is responsible for safely operating the boat throughout the rental period. The primary renter must meet all applicable age, boating education, and licensing requirements and have experience operating a similar vessel. A pre-departure safety orientation will be provided before departure. Weather Policy: Safety comes first. The owner reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, or cancel a rental due to unsafe weather conditions, including severe storms, high winds, rough water, or other conditions that may create an unsafe boating environment. If the rental is canceled by the owner due to weather, the renter may reschedule for an available date or receive a refund according to the rental platform’s cancellation policy. Weather concerns must be communicated and agreed upon before departure; once the boat has left the dock, weather-related refunds will not be provided. Cancellation & No-Show Policy: Cancellations made by the renter are subject to the platform’s cancellation policy. Late arrivals, failure to show up, or arriving after the scheduled departure time may result in reduced rental time or cancellation of the reservation without a refund. The renter must notify the owner as soon as possible if they are unable to make their scheduled rental. Boat Use & Safety Rules: The renter is responsible for all passengers, the safe operation of the boat, and any damage caused during the rental period. Boating under the influence of alcohol or drugs, reckless operation, illegal activity, or unsafe behavior is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of the rental without refund. All safety equipment must remain onboard and be used as required by law. Please return the boat on time and in the same condition it was received, with normal wear and tear excepted. The boat will be operated by the owner/approved captain, who is responsible for navigation, vessel operation, and ensuring a safe experience for all guests. The captain reserves the right to delay, reschedule, modify, or cancel a trip due to unsafe weather conditions, including storms, high winds, rough water, poor visibility, or any conditions that may affect the safety of passengers or the vessel. If the trip is canceled by the captain due to weather, guests may reschedule for an available date or receive a refund according to the rental platform’s cancellation policy. Weather-related concerns must be determined before departure; once the trip has begun, refunds will not be provided due to changing weather conditions. Cancellation & No-Show Policy: Guest cancellations are subject to the rental platform’s cancellation policy. Guests should arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Late arrivals may reduce the available trip time and may not result in an extension of the rental period. No-shows or failure to arrive on time may result in cancellation of the reservation without a refund. Boat Rules & Guest Responsibilities: Guests are expected to treat the vessel with care and respect. Illegal activities, reckless behavior, harassment, excessive intoxication, or any actions that compromise safety will not be permitted and may result in the trip being ended immediately without refund. Guests are responsible for any damage caused by themselves or members of their party. All required safety equipment will be provided and must remain onboard. The captain’s instructions regarding safety, navigation, and vessel operation must be followed at all times.
