Rental Requirements

Frequently Asked Questions:

• Fresh Water

  • Tranquility has 600 ltrs in water storage, which are filled before all charters. If used carefully, this is normally enough for a 14 day sail. If however we are running short, top ups are available on certain islands.

• What to bring?

  • Bathers, sun hats, sunglasses (polarised if possible), sandles or thongs (flip flops), and sunscreen are very important. At night or when sailing, windjackets and comfy pants are suggested. Insurance documents and proof of return flight are also necessary.

• What not to bring?

  • Hard suitcases!! Storage space is limited and we have no where to put them, soft bags only please.

• Laundry

  • Tranquility does not have a washing machine and we suggest preparing for fresh water rinses only on any sails under 10 days.

• Showers

  • There are two internal showers with a 3rd outdoor shower on the transom (back of the boat)

• Sea sickness

  • It can happen, and if does, we have every remedy available, but remember, this is your trip, so we can adjust plans at any stage to make things easier for you.

• Scuba Diving

  • Tranquility has all you need to snorkel, but is not equipped with scuba equipment. We can gladly organise diving with local scuba companies if you wish to add this to your trip.

• Hurrican season

  • Officially runs June 1 through to November 30 with a peak season from August through to the end of October. The good news is Grenada is on the very southern edge of the hurrican belt and is rarely hit. On top of that, weather checks are done daily to make sure all sails are in safe conditions

• Travel Insurance

  • Is a must for all passengers, and documents will be requested before departure.

• Marina Options

  • Marinas are available as an added option on some islands.

• Doubles/Twins

  • Two cabins are available for charter. These can be configured as doubles or twins.
