There must be one or more designated drivers. Please ensure your captain has taken the Free BOATUS.org boat safety course and watched the Tahoe boating safety video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFa730eBnBg. Should you need a designated captain for your trip, please notify Reno-Tahoe Watersports as early as possible and we will do our best to assist in your hiring a captain. The boat is rated for 8 people or 1200 lbs. It is illegal to exceed these limits. Please ensure your party meets these requirements at all time, or you could be seriously injured and/or capsize or sink the boat and/or incur significant fines. To start your rental on time, it is recommended driver(s) of the the boat will need to arrive 30 minutes prior to your reservation start time. Late departures due to late renter arrival will consume your rental time. The boat rental associate will provide a thorough walk through of the boat functions, safety features, and startup/shut down procedures, as well as discuss what to do in an emergency. The boat will be equipped with a manual for various things to note about the boat and boater safety. Please be sure to take a video to capture the condition of the boat, transom and propeller prior to your departure to ensure you avoid being charged for damage that was not caused by you. No pets are allowed on the boat. Any damage/cleaning associated with pets on board will be assessed via the cleaning fee, as necessary. Smoking is not permitted on the boat. Any signs of smoking or damage due to smoking will be assessed via repairs and cleaning fees, as necessary. To ensure all customers have a wonderful experience, please note (and do your best to avoid) the following fees: Insurance for the boat has been purchased by to Reno-Tahoe Watersports on your behalf, which is included in the rental price. Should any damage occur, the lesser of the full price to repair, or the deductible, is the full responsibility of the renter. Renters are responsible for all gas used during their outing. Upon completion of the trip, the boat rental associate will refuel the boat and the charges will be deducted from the security allowance. Any trash, spills, or bodily waste remaining on the boat is subject to a minimum $100 fee. A cleaning fee of $200 / hour applies to any cleaning that takes over 30 minutes. Renters must provide the following at least 2 days prior to their trip: The number of people who will be on the boat, their approximate weight and size of life jacket requested. If a single or double tube is requested. A signed copy of the liability waiver for each passenger boarding the boat.
