Non-license entry-level lessons for those who would like an introductory course to scuba diving prior to enrolling in the Open Water Scuba Diver course. Rates start at Php 4,500 per person. The SDI Scuba Discovery Program gives you a glimpse of what you can expect to experience in the underwater world as well as what you could expect to learn in the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course. During this experience program, you will go through the basic safety procedures for enjoyable scuba diving under the watchful eye of an active SDI Instructor. You will learn skills such as equalizing your ears, buddy checks, basic buoyancy control, underwater communication, and more. You will also be given an introduction to basic scuba equipment followed by an underwater tour in the local pool or aquatic environment. SDI Scuba Discovery Program Prerequisite • The candidate must be in good physical health as there are parts of the training that require physical activity. If there are any pre-existing health conditions that might affect the candidate’s safety during the Scuba diving activities; they must first consult their physician and receive medical clearance. • Minimum age of 18, (10 years old with parental consent) Although Scuba Discovery is not a scuba certified course, it is, however, an exciting way to explore the underwater world for first-timers. The participant will be taught briefly on how the scuba equipment works, a few essential skills that all divers must know in a confined safe environment, and lastly a 30-45 minute dive with the dive instructor/dive master via shore entry.
