Rates: • $100 per hour What To Expect Onboard: Pamlico She’s a Maryland style Chesapeake Bay deadrise built by Cecil Robbins. Measuring over 40’ in length and powered by an Cat 3208TA diesel, Pamlico is a fine example of Chesapeake Bay boatbuilding. Equipped with an extensive electronic navigation package including Radar, GPS, Auto pilot, Depth sounder and two helm stations, she is capable of any bay transit. Her accommodations include air-conditioning and heat, a marine head, berthing for two, a refrigerator, a cooktop and 6.5kw generator, Pamlico is available for sight-seeing tours, fishing charters, and our overnight accommodation package.

Our captain served 21 years in the US Coast Guard obtaining the rank of Senior Chief Boatswains Mate and was the Officer in Charge of the Hatteras Inlet and Ocracoke Lifeboat Stations in the late 1990’s. Wes earned his captains license in 1993 after over 7 years at sea on Coast Guard Cutters and Patrol Boats. He also served several tours of duty at coastal Search and Rescue stations. After the Coast Guard, Wes earned his Bachelors Degree (Historic Preservation) and Masters Degree (Business Administration) from the University of Mary Washington and has, until recently retiring, worked as the Public Works Director and Town Manager for a small, Central Virginia town. Wes and his wife Danielle moved to the Middle Peninsula to follow their love of the Chesapeake Bay and open ocean. Together, they have owned and operated several boats including a 35’ DuFour sloop that they lived aboard and sailed in the Caribbean, East, West and Gulf Coast of the United States.

Wes is a pleasure to work with, he's responsive and communicative during the booking process and the excursion. The boat was very clean and well appointed. On board, he's a conscientious professional; the purpose of my trip was to scatter flowers in honor of my recently deceased mother - Wes made me feel very comfortable going through my own emotions. I highly recommend Wes and I would charter a boat from Wes again.
