6 Days - Croatia by Kayak - Adventure Package

Mreznica Upper Canyon - Riding down waterfall after waterfall!

The most exciting white-water experience near the Northern Croatian coast. Only 1 h from the city of Rijeka/the Kvarner Bay area with its islands, 1.5 h from Zagreb and 2 h from the Istrian peninsula.

Description:

Come for a great white-water experience with fantastic waves and rapids. This trip is easy-moderate; in some cases, after rain, it can be very intense. It is perfect for school groups, sport groups, companies, families and couples.

The upper part of the Kupa River is perfect for white-water rafting/kayaking in spring and autumn time. The water level reacts to every rain at that time so you can expect higher water level after rainfall on the Gorski Kotar (Croatian highlands).

We will pass a section of about 7-10 km, which is only 15 km downstream from the source.  We use rafts for 4-7 persons with a guide in each and, in case of low water level, mini rafts or kayaks for 2-3 persons. You will get all instruction and training on the starting position and the whole trip is controlled by professional guides. You will pass several rapids of 15-300 m length. Some of them are intense but all are safe to pass for beginners.

The landscape around the river is gorgeous, as is the water purity and colour. We choose the best spot to have a break with cliff jumping and swimming in the rapid. A photographer will follow us and take pictures on the most interesting rapids, which you can receive via E-mail later. After getting to the finish, you can change into dry clothes and we will drive you back to our meeting point at our base camp.

White Water Rafting on the Kupa River - Brod na Kupi, Croatia

- The most beautiful river in this part of Croatia
- 1.5 h from Zagreb and 45 min from Plitvice lakes
- Beginners can participate
- Children from 6 y.o. are welcome

The upper part of Mreznica River consists of a long row of waterfalls, including the second highest of the entire river, which is 8 m. Cascade waterfalls create pools of warm water between them, which make for perfect refreshment away from the coast and the beach crowd. Rafting/kayaking on river Mreznica takes 2 - 3 hours and has elements of Canyoning (natural water slides, showering under waterfalls, jumping from high cliffs, walking through the canyon).
