Please note the following rental conditions: - The Duffy has a maximum capacity of 10 people. Please notify us the number of people in your party when you make your booking. If any children are in attendance, please provide their age(s) so we can have the correct life jackets onboard. - This Duffy is designed for marina cruising only. It is prohibited to exit the Marina at anytime and enter open ocean water. - Please arrive to the Marina early. Expect heavy traffic driving into the Marina and parking can be difficult on popular weekends. We may not be able to extend your reservation if you arrive late and you will be charged your entire reservation time. - The driver of the Duffy must be 21 years of age or older and must have a valid California driver license. We can provide a Captain for an additional $50 an hour. - The driver and all passengers must adhere to all boating laws and regulations. The driver of the Duffy should be familiar with California harbor etiquette and US Coast Gaurd regulations. - A security deposit of $300 is held for any damages or incidents that may occur during your rental. - You must reserve a captain for any night time rental. Self operation is not available on night time rentals. - Your reservation is subject to weather conditions. If bad weather or dangerous conditions are present on the day of your rental, your reservation maybe changed or cancelled. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Restrictions: - No smoking or vaping at anytime. - No drugs or illegal substances. - No pets or animals. - No red wine. - No shoes onside the boat. Shoes go in the shoe basket - No large coolers as space is limited. We recommend small coolers or bags. - No swimming or jumping in the water at any time. - No docking or anchoring anywhere in the marina. - This Duffy is only permitted to be in Marina. It is prohibited to exit the marina and enter the open ocean. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Boat Rental Guidelines: 1. No Shoes On Board: Please adhere to our no shoe policy; sandals are recommended for your comfort. 2. No Stopping During the Tour: Keep the tour continuous without making stops during the designated period. 3. Maintain Safe Distance: Stay in the middle, avoiding close proximity to other boats. Do not drive past the break point. Stay at least 500 feet away from the breakpoint and both exits. Do not exit the Marina under any circumstances to avoid a $2500 penalty. Our boats are equipped with GPS tracking at all times. 4. Wildlife Interaction: Refrain from feeding birds, sea lions, or wildlife during the trip. 5. Drink Handling: - Avoid spills; keep drinks in your hands or cup holders. - No open, food, glass containers or bottles on the table. - Food or Wine stains/spillage result in a deposit forfeiture. 6. Boat Inspection: - Check for damage or scratches before boarding; document for your records. 7. Punctuality Matters: - Be on time; allow 15-20 minutes for checkout. - $50 late fee per 5 minutes past the scheduled time; no additional time for late arrivals. - Late arrivals over 15 minutes are marked as no-show with no refund. 8. Responsible Drinking: - Avoid excessive drinking for everyone's safety. 9. Emergency Protocol: - In emergencies, call 911 and then your designated contact. 10. Safe Boat Operation: - Keep boat speed at half power for battery longevity and safety. Driving at full power can over heat the motor and cause damage, expensive repairs and delays. Be mindful to keep the speed at half power. - Do not hang, sit, or bend over windows for your safety. 11. Life Jacket Accessibility: - Life jackets are under the driver's seat if needed. 12. Driving Caution: - Exercise caution; boats don't have brakes. - In case of a sudden appearance of another boat, slowly shift to reverse; avoid rapid transitions and hitting anything head-on. Always turn left or right behind an incoming boat. 13. Stay Away from Rocks: - Maintain a minimum distance of 100 feet from rocks and all parked boats. 14. Navigate with Caution: - Stay in the middle; follow Marina rules. - Avoid proximity to large boats due to strong wakes. 15. Dealing with Wakes: - Go over the wakes at a 45-degree angle to prevent water splashes. 16. Safety First: - Your safety is our top priority; follow these tips for a safer journey. 17. Renter's Responsibility: - The renter is fully responsible for any accidents or damages to the boat and his or her passengers. - We accept no liability for such incidents caused by the renters. 18.
