RAFTING IN THE CANGREJAL RIVER If you are feeling adventurous,this tour is for you! The Rio Cangrejal is a very technical river with lots of challenging rapids making it one of the best rivers to raft in Central America. This is a high adventure river it takes you down through a series of rapids, our highly trained guides create safe tours for even the most inexperienced rafters. For more experienced rafters we offer a 5 hours tour where you will negotiate class IV and V rapids. Each tour begins with a brief training session where the guides give you all the information you will need to have a safe and enjoyable journey. You will be provided with a life jacket and paddle and do not need to bring anything except clothes that can get wet. The Jungle River Rafting Guides: Juan Carlos, Darwin, Pirri, Denis, Santos, all look forward to giving you the best rafting experience you will find in HONDURAS!! DETAILS All tours include a free transportation only at 8:00am and at 1:00pm from the Banana Republic. At 12:00pm from the jungle River Lodge (if you do any activity the same morning) PRICES 7 kilometers river tour(class III & IV) $40 per person(plus 16% tax) 4 kilometers river tour (class I, II, III & IV) $40 per person 14 kilometers HOURS TOUR(class III IV & V for experienced rafter only) $100.00 per person(plus 16% tax) More than 20 kilometers the same class, and 100$. And both at that price 40$ and 100$ the full day. RIO MARIA RIVER HIKE If you love river hiking and swimming in pristine river water join us on our day tour to Rio Maria. You will be amazed at the series of waterfall and swimming holes along the river! The Rio Maria River Hike is located at national park NOMBRE DE DIOS,25 minutes east of La Ceiba. You will wander down a path passing a handful of traditional houses before climbing up for a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea. Once at the top of the hill you descend down into the river bed where you will encounter a spectacular 15ft waterfall. The crystal clear water is perfect to rejuvenate after your hike and for a little kick of adrenaline you can slide down the waterfall! When it is time to make your way back to the roadside you traverse down the river, bouldering and swimming on your way. This tour includes transportation from the Jungle River Lodge, bilingual tour guides, and lunch at a Garifuna village named Corozal. DETAILS All tours include a free night stay in a dormitory or a $12 discount of any private room at the Jungle River Lodge,free transportation only at 12:00pm from the Jungle River Lodge to the Banana Republic.
