We had a great time and would definitely rent again from Barry. One note, be sure to read the fine print to understand the extra costs like liability insurance and fuel. I failed to do so, but it doesn’t change the wonderful experience we had.

Super easy process and great communication, even though our rental was very last minute. It was exactly what we needed and much better price than the marina rentals

Reservation & Check-In: Lessee must be 18+, present a valid driver’s license, credit card, and, if required, a Texas Boater Safety Card (for those born on/after 9/1/1993 operating certain vessels). Check-in is 30 minutes prior; late arrivals don’t extend rental time, and no refunds are given for lost time. Boater Safety: Lessees needing a Texas Boater Safety Card must provide it at check-in, or the reservation is canceled without refund (rescheduling possible). Out-of-state equivalents are accepted. Cancellations: Non-refundable, except 50% refund if canceled 14+ days prior (management approval). No-shows forfeit payments; emergency rescheduling may be allowed within 90 days. Weather: Rain checks issued for dangerous conditions (e.g., high winds, lightning) are redeemable within 365 days. No refunds for non-dangerous weather. Vessel Substitution: Lessor may substitute vessels for mechanical or other issues, with notification. Partial refunds or rescheduling possible if substitutes differ significantly. Liability: Lessee assumes risks of injury or damage, releases Lessor from liability (except gross negligence), and indemnifies Lessor against claims. A signed Indemnity Waiver is required. Lessor isn’t liable for personal property loss. Fees: Lessee covers vessel damage, fuel (charged at check-in), late fees ($50/15 min), and rescue fees ($250, non-mechanical issues). Damages are assessed post-rental. Safety: Life jackets are mandatory; safety equipment must be maintained. Prohibited: operating under influence, illegal use, exceeding capacity, or reckless operation. Lessee ensures passenger safety. Environmental: Lessee must comply with regulations (e.g., draining water to prevent invasive species) and is liable for fines. Force Majeure: Lessor isn’t liable for non-performance due to uncontrollable events; rain checks or refunds may be offered. Disputes: Governed by Texas law, with mediation required before litigation. Federal maritime law may apply on navigable waters. General: Lessee acknowledges terms, and invalid provisions don’t affect the rest. The signed Indemnity Waiver takes precedence if conflicts arise. Note: A signed Indemnity Waiver and Release of Liability. All guests must sign an Indemnity Waiver and Release of Liability at check-in, acknowledging assumption of risk and releasing liability. Additionally, a copy of the renter’s insurance policy from the provider is required. Renters are responsible for all fuel costs.
