Welcome aboard! Albacore is a 53ft Super Maramu prepared for voyaging, meaning it's very well-equipped. It's a ketch, and if you've never skippered a ketch before, don't worry, it's child's play. It's extremely comfortable for 2 couples, works very well with a 3rd couple in the saloon, and it becomes a bit more like camping with a 7th and 8th crew member in the bunks (luxury camping, mind you). It's a very forgiving boat, comfortable at sea and at anchor, very protective, reassuring, and fast when well-handled (and when there's a bit of wind, of course)! Departing from Deauville, you can easily sail between Honfleur, Le Havre, Fécamp, Dieppe, Saint Vaast, Cherbourg, but you can also cross the Channel to the Solent, Brighton, Dover, and much more. For a long rental period during high season, it may be possible to arrange a "one-way" rental, to be discussed together based on your plans. Note: For reasons imposed by my insurance, solid owner experience is required. In particular, the renter must be able to demonstrate experience as a skipper on a sailboat over 13m. A user guide is available on board.
