About This Boat

Looking for a guided fishing charter in Sydney Harbour and the Hawkesbury River?  You're at the right place! We offer water tuition and  a day of lure and live bait charters on Sydney Harbour and the Hawkesbury River aboard the 17' plate aluminium vessel ‘Me & Jew for up to 3 people. Our rates starts at $450 per person per day includes the guide.

Our clients will fish from a custom fitted, 5 meter, plate aluminium vessel ‘Me & Jew’. The vessel is powered by a quiet 60 hp Yamaha outboard motor on the transom and an 80 lb bow mount Minn Kota electric motor on the bow. The electric motor has the latest features available for holding the vessel in position when lure casting. A sturdy pair of Cannon down riggers are fitted to help get baits and lures down to where the fish are holding and feeding. To find fish holding structure Dan utilises his Lowrance HDS 9 Gen 3 sounder/fish finder and GPS unit to great effect and is more than happy to help clients better understand the finer points of reading sounders while on board.

We only uses quality Shimano rods and reels. Currently there is a full complement of T-curve and Raider rods matched to Rarenium ci4 and Biomaster SW reels in sizes 1000, 2500, 4000, 6000 and 8000. These outfits allow clients the right tool for the job when targeting multiple species whilst on charter.

Frequently Ask Question

What should I Bring?

Please bring a hat, Sunglasses (preferably polarised), spray jacket/ pants.
Full day charter – Please bring your lunch.

Can I bring my own fishing gear?

Yes. We do supply all rods/ reels, lures and tackle but you are more than welcome to bring your own. Please contact Dan to work out the gear your will require for the particular charter you have booked.

What is the minimum age?

Minimum age is 6 years olds with no maximum age limit.

What about deposit?

Deposit is required upon booking to secure your chosen date.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Because we operate in the estuaries it is rare to have to cancel charters due to large swells etc. on the odd occasion rain and wind will be the determining factor for postponing or cancelling a charter as it can make it quite uncomfortable in an open vessel. Dan will fish in most weather, but…..

If the weather conditions are against us, postponing the trip to the next suitable date for both the client and the guide is OK. In circumstances where you are travelling from interstate or international destinations a refund can be arranged. If you are concerned please contact us discuss.

What time do we start?

Start times vary throughout the year. Most trips start at first light which in the summer months is 5 – 6 am and winter months 7 – 8 am.
