DO I NEED A BOATING LICENSE TO OPERATE A BOAT IN FLORIDA? We recommend that all customers complete a boating safety course. The course does not take long and is easy to complete. It also serves your safety, the safety of your companions, and everyone else on the water. All customers born on or after January 1, 1988 must meet the following requirements to operate a motorboat with 10 HP or more: - Successful completion of a boating safety course - Possession of a Boating Safety Education Identification Card issued by the FWC We recommend the following provider for the boating safety course. ARE THE BOATS INSURED? Yes. All of our boats have full coverage insurance with a deductible of $1,000. The insurance is already included in the price. SeaTow towing coverage is also included in the price. HOW MUCH IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT? The security deposit is $1,000 and must be provided at the time of boat handover. The deposit can be paid in cash or placed as a credit card hold for the duration of the rental. WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE? Our all-inclusive prices include the briefing, cleaning, insurance, and SeaTow. All prices are subject to a 6.5% sales tax. Fuel is paid by the customer. There are no hidden fees. DOES THE BOAT HAVE TO BE RETURNED WITH A FULL TANK? Yes. The boat must be returned fully refueled. If the boat is not returned with a full tank, we will charge $7 per gallon plus an additional service fee of $100. WHAT HAPPENS IF THE BOAT HAS A MECHANICAL ISSUE? In the unlikely event that your booked boat has a mechanical problem, we will do our best to provide a replacement boat as quickly as possible. If no replacement is available, you will receive a prorated refund. All of our boats include a SeaTow membership, so if the boat needs to be towed back to our docks, there will be no cost to you. DO YOU DELIVER THE BOAT TO MY VACATION RENTAL? Yes, we offer delivery to your vacation home for an additional service fee. This service is available exclusively within the Cape Coral area. DO THE BOATS HAVE NAVIGATION? Yes. All of our boats are equipped with either a built-in navigation system or iPad-based navigation. If you would like to research destinations such as beaches, restaurants, and other points of interest accessible by boat in advance, we recommend iBoatmap. CANCELLATION POLICY More than 60 days before the rental start date: - 100% refund Less than 60 days before the rental start date: - 80% refund Less than 30 days before the rental start date: - No refund We will do our best to reschedule your booking if you need to cancel on short notice. If we find another customer, we will refund 80% of the rental price. If the booking is canceled by the provider due to hurricanes or other unforeseen circumstances—such as damage to the boat—customers will receive a full refund. Cancellation requests due to bad weather (excluding hurricanes) cannot be accepted.
