OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: DO I NEED A BOATING LICENSE TO DRIVE A BOAT IN FLORIDA ? We recommend that all customers take a boat safety course. The course does not take long and is easy to complete. It is also for your safety, that of your companions and anyone else who is out and about on the water. All customers born on or after January 1, 1988 must meet the following criteria to drive a motor boat with 10 or more hp: - successful completion of a boat safety course - holding a Boating Safety Education Identification Card issued by the FWC We recommend the following provider for the boat safety course: DO THE BOATS HAVE INSURANCE? Yes All of our boats have comprehensive insurance with a deductible of $1,000. Insurance is already included in the price. SeaTow towing insurance is also included in the price. HOW MUCH IS THE DEPOSIT? The deposit is $1,000 and must be paid when handing over the boat. The deposit can be paid in cash or by credit card (hold) for the duration of the rental. WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE? Our all-inclusive prices include briefing, cleaning, insurance and SeaTow. All prices exclude sales tax of 6.5%. The fuel is paid for by the customer. We have no hidden fees. DOES THE BOAT HAVE TO BE RETURNED WITH A FULL TANK OF FUEL? Yes It is absolutely necessary to return the boat with a full tank of gas. If the return/handover is not fully fueled, we charge $7 per gallon and an additional service fee of $100. WHAT HAPPENS IF THE BOAT HAS A MECHANICAL PROBLEM? In the unlikely event that your booked boat has a mechanical issue, we will do our best to provide you with a replacement boat as soon as possible. If a replacement isn't available, you'll get a prorated refund. All our boats have a SEATow membership. If the boat has to be towed back to our docks, you won't be charged. WILL YOU DELIVER THE BOAT TO MY HOLIDAY ACCOMMODATION? Yes, we also offer delivery to your holiday home upon payment of a service fee. However, this service is only available for the Cape Coral area. DO THE BOATS HAVE NAVIGATION? Yes All our boats are either equipped with a built-in navigation system or with iPad navigation. If you would like to find out in advance about destinations such as beaches, restaurants and other interesting places that can be reached by boat, we recommend iBoatMap. IN CASE OF CANCELLATION, THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS APPLY: More than 60 days before the start of the rental period: 100% money back Less than 60 days before the start of the rental period: 80% money back Less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: no money back. We will do our best to rebook your booking if you need to cancel at short notice. If we find another customer, we'll refund you 80% of the rent. Should the booking be cancelled by the provider due to hurricanes or other unforeseen circumstances — such as damage to the boat — customers will receive a full refund. Unfortunately, cancellation requests due to bad weather (excluding hurricanes) cannot be accepted.
