Shared Trip Policy A Shared Trip occurs when a client charters the boat but informs us that they would like to allow people to “Ride Along.” We then post this trip on our social media and on the schedule on our web site. All proceeds from “Ride Along” passengers are to be split 50/50 with Quicksilver. This can either be paid to the charter client in cash at the end of the trip or in the form of a discount at the time of billing. If you decide to make your trip a “Shared Trip” we require 12 hours notice for rescheduling. Private Vs. Shared Trip privacy When a client books a trip or charter on Quicksilver it is assumed that theirs is a private charter. We will not disclose any personal information but there will be a published notification on our schedule that the boat will be occupied during this time.During the booking process a prospective client may be asked either by a person or in our online booking form if they would like to share their trip with the public. If they say yes we will promote their trip on our schedule and with social media. Capacity Quicksilver has a Certificate Of Inspection that allows us to carry 24 passengers. If at any time the captain feels the vessel is overweight or being made unseaworthy we reserve the right to ask passengers to disembark. In the event that the boat is over capacity we ask that the remaining passengers left behind get together and split a chartered trip. We will then come back for the remaining passengers at our earliest convenience. With the exception of shared trips, or private charters all access to Quicksilver is on a first come first served basis.Whenever possible we try to staff with intern or volunteer crew in order to keep rates low for our clients but in the event that we are unable to secure crew, we are required to hire additional staff. We reserve the right to charge an additional $40 per trip (or per hour) when a charter client anticipates more than 6 passengers on board his or her charter.
