What You Can Expect:

Ketchikan, Alaska, the Salmon Capital of the World, is nestled on the southeastern edge of Revillagigedo Island. The island is 132 miles around and is surrounded by the Tongass Narrows and the East and West Behm Canals. Ketchikan lies along the southeastern coast of the island. Native Klingit and Haida Indian tribes first settled Revillagigedo Island in the early 1800’s. The first white settler of Ketchikan was Mr. John Snow, a salmon fishery pioneer, in 1883. He helped build the original salmon cannery in Ketchikan just two years later. At the height of the salmon canning industry there were 13 operational canneries in the Ketchikan area, employing several hundred people.

What To Expect Onboard:

Welcome Aboard Ice blue!! The Ice Blue is a 29ft BAMF Sportfisher charter fishing boat. The Sportfisher is a boat built sturdy. This provides a smooth ride even on the days when it may get a little bumpy along the way. Providing you a nice large, stable back deck to fish on, no matter how fast the fish may be flying aboard in Ketchikan, Alaska. Come catch plenty of Ketchikan Salmon while fishing aboard the Ice Blue.

Its main propulsion is a 310 horse power Volvo Penta Diesel. The Volvo Penta powers the boat along at a nice and steady speed of 25 knots or 29 miles per hour. This allows for a quick, smooth, 20 minute ride to the Ketchikan fishing grounds where you begin your Alaskan charter fishing experience. When you arrive on the fishing grounds in Ketchikan, we use a Honda 15 horse power trolling motor to set you at just the right speed to get you the Salmon you've been dreaming of.
