Frequently Asked Questions:

• When Do PADI Diving Courses Start?

  • You can start all courses at Divine Diving (from PADI Open Water diver up to Divemaster level) at any day, depending on your own convenience and our instructors’ availability.

• What Languages Do Your Instructors/Guides Speak?

  • Our guides and instructors speak fluent English and Indonesian. We also have some Dutch and German speaking instructors.

• Do I Need To Bring A DIN Adapter?

  • All our scuba tanks have both INT valves and DIN inserts. You don’t need to bring an adapter.

• Do I Need To Bring My Own Dive Equipment?

  • Not really, only if you want to or if you have very small/big sizes. For example fins are available from shoe sizes 36-45. We have full sets of equipment in all common sizes, which are all very well maintained. We use quality brands such as Scubapro, AquaLung, Mares, DeepGear, Tusa and Suunto.

• How Many Guides And Divers Are There Per Boat Trip?

  • On a day trip we have a maximum of 16 guests (divers). We always dive in small groups of maximum 4 divers with 1 guide. For all liveaboards we have a maximum of 8 guests per trip. On these trips we also handle the ratio of 1 to 4.

• Are Your Instructors And Guides Experienced Divers?

  • Our instructors and dive guides are very experienced divers. They all have made 1.000+ dives in and around Komodo National Park. So they know very well what to do and where to go!

• What Is The Difficulty Level Of Diving In Komodo?

  • The level difficulty in Komodo National Park varies a lot: from strong current dives to diving in beautiful sheltered reefs. We always adjust our program to our guests’ wishes and possibilities. For our liveaboards we advise you to have your AOW or at least OW with Deep Dive Speciality.

• Do I Need Insurance?

  • When travelling, it’s always good to have a travel insurance. Check your insurance to see if scuba diving is covered. There are also special insurances for divers, such as those from PADI, DAN, IDEC. DAN offers a “short term insurance”. You can arrange this insurance with us, the rate is $40 USD for 10 days or $50 USD for 30 days.
