He is a highly skilled engineer who sails his own boat refurbished to perfection by himself. We had a superb experience for NYE and got a premium location for watching fireworks thanks to Johny. The boat had all the features that we required and is very well propped for gatherings and celebrations.

Marlborough Sound is stunningly beautiful; Phil is exceptionally knowledgeable, hospitable, and just lovely; Deb is super communicative; and their boat is comfortable, so well appointed and a superb way to spend time in this jaw-droppingly beautiful part of this extraordinary country. The Skipper was all that can be expected of a seasoned mariner. He and his crew were approachable, knowledgeable, helpful, and gracious to a fault. The vessel, S/V Arcturus, has a storied history and is well documented in the library aboard. The upkeep and seaworthiness of the boat is immaculate, and the facilities aboard function as intended. This is not a new, shiny 2022 sailing yacht. 1930s technology, with some modern touches are present, and fully functional. I would do this again, with perhaps more time aboard, without any hesitation. Kudos to crew and Skipper for an enjoyable time.
