I am excited to be part of GetMyBoat movement in making boats more accessible and affordable to others. I was Lucky to iherit a Sparkman & Stephans 48” built in 1954, named by my father, Jorge as Cairu III, thus I pride to highlight the classics. Cairu III is the third generation of wooden boats and family members. Starting up from my grand father, Leopoldo Geyer who was the founder of the Iate Clube Jangadeiros, Veleiros do Sul and Iate Clube Guaiba, in the Southern city of Porto Alegre and he was one of the pioneers of sailing in Brazil. I have being lucky enough to be around boats all my life, and to be able to pile up races such as Buenos Aires-Rio, Santos-Rio; they are so many to list here, as well as to win several of them at the helm of Cairu III. Now you can enjoy yourself aboard Cairu III, for a sun set sailing, short cruises between Rio and Buzios or Angra dos Reis, even to race depending on the calendar, and I will be happy to be your skipper, while telling you stories of classic boats in Brazil and the going abouts.
