   It was our first time fishing trip in Japan, we had a fantastic time. Captain Yoshihiro and his assistant are very friendly, very knowledgeable, and work very hard to help everyone have a successful day on the water. Every one had so much fun. We like his encouragements and celebrations every time someone caught fish. (Never in trips in USA). And he knows those area of water so well. Although we can not speak Japanese, language was never a problem in our trip. We caught yellowtails and many octopus. He also introduced us to a local small restaurant, we took our yellowtail there, they cooked 4 different ways for us, we loved our dishes. It is our plan to do it again. We would definitely recommend Captain Yoshihiro to anyone looking for a great fishing experience in Osaka Japan.

   excellent value. it was me and my son. we cought 4 fish and keep three. one was to small. the last fish was a the biggest of them all. he also recomended a place to have it prep for us. the captin was great. moved us to many different spots to try. we are really happy with the service. recomend a lot of sun screen.

   Great trip! We caught a black sea bass and fished for a long time. We used small crab lures and caught big fish! Nozomu was committed to putting me on the bite.

   Fishing in Osaka was something our group really wanted to do! Booking with Koji was easy! Koji was patient with our group as we were not experienced with fishing and really took his time to teach us and support us. Koji spoke Japanese but was easy to communicate with translate apps! Captain Koji was so nice and we can’t wait to come back again to visit him!

   Nozomu was great to deal with. We started fishing for octopus, then moved on to Horse Mackerel but they just weren’t biting on this day, however Nozomu suggested trawling off the airport and we ended up with a 94cm Kingfish which was great. Nozomu joined us for dinner at a local family restaurant where they prepared the kingfish and octopus for us. They served multiple dishes and it was very authentic. Great experience. Thanks again.

   Absolutely cannot recommend Captain Nozomu highly enough! He saved our trip—and turned what could have been a huge disappointment into one of the most unforgettable experiences my son and I had in Japan. After being ghosted by another captain we had originally booked through this very site (paid in advance, no-show, no contact…), we were scrambling, heartbroken, and unsure if we’d get to fish at all in Osaka Bay. That’s when we found Captain Nozomu—and everything changed. Despite a language barrier, Captain Nozomu went out of his way to communicate clearly, kindly, and with genuine care. He welcomed us with a warm smile, top-tier professionalism, and the kind of joyful energy that instantly put my 10-year-old son at ease. We were fully outfitted with great gear, thoughtful instruction, and even snacks—and from the moment we stepped aboard, we felt like honored guests. While I’ve been offshore fishing for over 30 years, I was blown away by how skillfully Captain Nozomu handled everything. He made sure we were on the fish and gave us every chance to succeed. My son still hasn’t stopped talking about it. Captain Nozomu was patient, encouraging, and clearly an expert on the water. He made sure everything went smoothly and joyfully, which—given the situation we had come from—meant the world to us.
