This 42ft Alium is a compact motor yacht built for day trips, with a low, wide hull and a foldout swim platform that turns the stern into an open deck. Two Volvo Penta D6 engines, 380 CV each, push the boat along at a good pace while keeping the ride flat through open water. Below deck there are two cabins, enough space for four people to stay overnight, though most charters run as day trips with a larger group on board. A captain comes with every charter, so guests can focus on the day rather than handling the boat. We take up to 12 guests during the day. The cockpit has a fixed table with cushioned bench seating under the hardtop, good for eating out of direct sun, and the swim platform folds out flat enough to set up loungers right at the waterline for swimming stops. Inside, the cabin has a small galley and a U-shaped seating area finished in light wood, with a separate sleeping cabin below for anyone staying the night.
