Baby Orianna – False Creek Tender Adventure Climb aboard Baby Orianna, our 12-foot inflatable RIB powered by a 20 HP Mercury four-stroke, for an up-close adventure through Vancouver’s False Creek. This isn’t your typical sightseeing cruise. Baby Orianna gets you right down on the water, allowing you to explore the shoreline, marinas and hidden corners of False Creek that you simply don’t experience the same way from a larger yacht. Drop Your Own Crab Traps One of the highlights of the adventure is heading out to drop crab traps. We’ll cruise to a suitable spot, bait and lower the traps together and mark the location so we can return later to see what we caught. Guests can get involved in the entire process, from preparing the traps and sending them overboard to returning later and pulling them back up. Crabbing is subject to local regulations, licensing, seasons and catch restrictions, and any catch must meet current legal requirements. Tour False Creek From the Water While the traps soak, we’ll explore False Creek and see Vancouver from one of its best perspectives. Depending on the route and conditions, you can see Granville Island, the floating homes and marinas, Science World, BC Place, Olympic Village, Yaletown’s waterfront, Sunset Beach, the bridges spanning False Creek and the entrance to English Bay. Because Baby Orianna is small and nimble, the experience feels completely different from being aboard a large sightseeing vessel. You’re close to the water, close to the shoreline and right in the middle of everything happening around the harbour. Keep an eye out for harbour seals, seabirds, working boats, sailboats, water taxis, paddleboarders and some of Vancouver’s most interesting floating homes. Pull the Traps After exploring False Creek, we’ll head back to our crab traps and see what’s waiting below. Guests can help haul the traps aboard, identify what we’ve caught and take photos. Anything that cannot legally be retained is safely returned to the water. It turns a simple tender ride into an interactive Vancouver experience. Small Boat. Big Adventure.
