This is a self-guided trip but we provide the equipment to allow you to enjoy the full advantages of what the area has to offer. Our recommended trip is a kayak hire trip running between Slippery Creek in Drury to Hingaia Bridge just west of Papakura. This locality is only 25 minutes south of Auckland. Our company was established to promote the upper Manukau Harbour as an activity destination. We offer a varied and interesting journey, which winds through wetland and estuarine waters and includes some swift water. The trip is around six km and should take around 1 – 1.5 hours. We have 12 kayaks and can cater for up to 17 paddlers. This journey takes you through waters that are inaccessible by car, and you will forget that you are only a short distance from Auckland. It is essential to contact us to book your kayak hire because the river is tidal.  Journey times change daily because we operate the kayak hire  3-4 hours on each side of high tide.  If it is raining in Drury on the day you have booked we will always ring you and let you decide if you still wish to come, however, we do reserve the right to cancel if we feel the conditions will compromise your safety.  We can discuss options for re-planning your kayak hire if a postponement is made.
