   We rented a boat in Chicago yesterday for my sister’s bachelorette party, and overall had a great time! First off, Max was an amazing captain — very friendly, helpful, and professional. He made us feel comfortable and ensured we had a smooth ride. The boat itself was clean, spacious, and had a nice downstairs area with a bathroom. We loved being able to lounge on the Lilly pad raft and enjoy the sunshine on the lake! That said, we were disappointed by the lack of transparency with the charges. Before the trip, we were not informed that a 20% automatic tip ($400) would be added on top of the nearly $3,000 we paid, which already included a $300 “service charge.” We had assumed that service charge was the gratuity. We fully intended to tip Max ourselves after the trip, but instead felt blindsided by the pre-added gratuity. The communication from both Get My Boat and the boat company could have been much clearer, and we were never provided with a full contract to review ahead of time. While we had fun and appreciated Max’s service, the surprise charges left us feeling taken advantage of. Transparency is key, and I hope the company addresses this for future customers.

   Used Captain chris and he was great. I wasn't aware that there was a whole team required (3 people total including captain), not that it mattered much. They tried to not let us use the lilly pad because they said the wind caused it to float away with 8 people on it, but we were in the water and it was great. I would not want to hit the play pen without it IMH. John was very kind, and the boat was quite spacious. Overall had a great experience, 5 stars, but noting the lily hiccup that I felt like I had to fight to keep but it appeared to have no issues using it. Would book again

   Awesome boat. The soft top of the front of the boat was huge and allowed us to really enjoy our trip. Difference maker compared to other boats. Jamie was a rockstar captain and helped make it a great day!

   We had a great experience on Captain John’s boat. He was a great host and was always very quick at responding to my inquiries. I highly recommend him to others looking to rent a boat.

   The best charter experience I’ve had! John was amazing, he greeted us at the dock and the crew he recommended was amazing. Captain Ken was the perfect guy for the job, he was fun and a very skilled operator. Deckhands Derroll and G were both great and very personable. Definitely will be booking with John again!

   I can’t say enough about Dana and her crew. Exceptional service, amazing communication, and perfect boat for hosting and playing in the play pen. I would highly suggest Dana to anyone looking for a fun day out on the water.
